Holy hell.

While I’m disoriented, he roughly snatches one of my arms and forces me to sit upright. I attempt to pull away, but it’s useless. I have nowhere to go. The man drags me out of the trunk without any care to my wellbeing.

I land hard on my right knee, hissing in pain as some of the skin is torn away on the rough ground. The man groans in irritation, and I know I’ll be hit again if I don’t right myself. It takes several tries thanks to the weakness caused from the fumes I inhaled for so long as well as the stiffness from being bound in a trunk, but I finally manage to stumble to my feet.

I look around frantically, desperate for a way out. Nothing looks familiar because all I see are woods surrounding me. It’s pitch black with not even a sliver of moon or starlight to illuminate the area.Damn clouds.

By my best guess, we couldn’t have traveled for more than a few hours. There is no light in the horizon over the trees either, which means we aren’t near any cities, and the only noises are the sounds of nature echoing in my ears.

My body acts of its own accord, and I jerk away to make a run for it. I don’t make it more than a few steps before I trip over my own feet and fall thanks to the dizziness still lingering. It’s difficult, but I manage to get one knee under me, so I can right myself and try again, but I’m far too slow without the use of my own hands.

“That’s enough of that, you dumb bitch!” the voice booms.

He grabs my elbow and roughly yanks me back to my feet. Warm sticky blood running down my face. He turns so I am facing him only releasing me to back hand me twice across the face. I spit blood from around the gag. My heart is pounding so loud I lose my sense of hearing for a few moments.

He grabs me around my arm so hard that I’m sure it will leave a big handprint sized bruise around my forearm as each one of his meaty, sweaty fingers bite into my skin. He starts dragging me towards what looks like an abandoned cabin. I try to fight by digging my heels into the gravel but the harder I fight, the more it feels like my shoulder is going to dislodge from the socket. He is overpowering me at every turn and my heart rate skyrockets at what it will mean for me if he gets me into that cabin…

My adrenaline is high which is helping me stay more alert even with my head pounding from what I’m assuming is a concussion. As he slings my body against the house beside the front door, my back slams into the siding as my breath leaves me in awhoosh,an excruciating pain explodes in my back and ribs from the impact. I slide down the wall onto my ass out of breath and limp.

“Good girl.” He says.

I look up in time to see him wrap his hand in a denim cloth before knocking a pane of glass out on the front door. He reaches in and I hear the click of the lock disengaging right before the door swings open.

“Home sweet home.” He mutters angrily under his breath…
