Her brows drawing together at the stray thought. It would thrill her grandmother that she had met her true love.

Squeezing her hands firmly at her frown, his tone reassuring, confident.

“I promise that when we find her and find her, we will. That we will bring her here and if you want, we can do it all over again. I would marry you a hundred times,”

Her heart melting at his words, she lifted her face for his gentle kiss. Drawing away from his lips with a soft sigh, she smiled. Nothing had ever felt as easy or as right as this moment. “I can’t wait to marry you. “

“Well, you are going to have to wait” Simone’s voice was light even as her heels clicked on the stone floor before she stepped onto the red carpet. “Tonight you spend alone, purifying for your wedding ritual.”

“Your husband to be has his own rituals that he needs to attend to.” Damascus’s voice was low as he stepped around the altar to stand in front of her. “Tomorrow night is an important night for you both,”

“Looks like we are sleeping alone,”

His dark, intense eyes never left hers as he turned towards her and smiled.

“Promise that you will dream of me,”

“Who else would I dream of?”

Taking her lips in a strong possessive kiss, Draven crushed her to him. His arms were tight like steel around her before letting her go, his mouth lifting from hers as she drew in a harsh breath.

“Tomorrow everything changes” raising her hands to his lips, Draven bowed to her. “Until tomorrow night” his eyes were full of dark promises, making every hair on her body stand on end.

She shivered and nodded, her eyes following him as he closed his suit jacket and walked across the room to the far door.

“Come, my Lady” Simone’s voice was gentle. “We have a lot to prepare” shaking her head to clear her thoughts, Talia watched until the door closed behind him.

What was it about that man that captivated her? Almost driving all ration thought out of her brain. It was intense.

Turning, she shot Ghost a grin. “I get to marry that man. “

“That’s the plan” ignoring the fact that Ghost’s smile didn’t reach her eyes, Talia stepped forward with Simone. making her way to the luxurious room that waited for her.

The smell of incense and oils filled the air. The black and red candles burning low throughout the room, giving the slightest tingle of magic.

“Its nothing more than a relaxing ritual to help you rest and purify your mind for you wedding tomorrow. Come,”

Simone’s voice enticing her forward, and before she fully realised she was laying naked under a towel. The priestess’s hands kneading her flesh with oils. A light brush tracing runes into her skin as she dozed.

Ghost had pulled out her wedding dress, cleaned of all the werewolf’s blood. She carefully hung it on the outside of the antique wardrobe, where it shimmered in the soft candlelight. Her voice was distant, breaking through the haze her mind and body had become under the priestess’s hands.

“No, I haven’t left yet,” Ghost’s voice was tinged with annoyance. “Hyde. I have a few things to do first.”

Talia blinked several times, trying to clear the relaxing fog from her mind as she lifted her head.

“I know,” holding the phone against her ear, Ghost paced by the bed. “I have plenty of time” cocking her head, her lips twisting into a smile, she met Talia’s sleepy expression. Amusement dancing over her features.

“Don’t be angry” giving a half laugh. Ghost gave her a wink as she turned towards the bed “because it never works”

Her smiling fading a little as she listened to him. Taking a deep breath, she let out it out slowly she leaned against the bedhead.

“I understand. But I still have things to do.”

“Right back at you,”

Pocketing the phone in the back of her leather pants, Ghost gave her a grin.

“Always fun pissing him off,”
