Grabbing Marnie’s hand on her way past, Talia knew her face was desperate.

“Please don’t leave me here, I can pay you,”

With a chuckle, Marnie patted Talia’s fingers before peeling her grip off her hand.

“My advice is not to fight. You might even like it.” giving her a wink. “I know I did,”

The laughter in the room sent chills down her spine as Marnie stepped away. Trying to follow her, Talia was blocked by the two large men. Their faces eager. Talia’s eyes darted around the room as she swallowed hard, trying to suppress the lump in her throat.

There was no denying it now. She was well and truly out of the fry-pan and into the fire.

The sound of the door closing behind the dark-haired witch echoed in the room. Talia jumped back a little, her gaze darting from face to face as she retreated.

The cabin was too small to avoid them for long. Without her magic, she was going to have to be more inventive. She had to think hard and fast.

“So..” taking a deep breath, she turned towards Marcus. He seemed to be the one making the deal. He had to be the boss.

“What is this going to be? Rape? Murder? Tea?” Please let it be tea.

“We need to break you in before we sell you,” leaning against the table, Marcus eyed her breasts. “See if you can be a breeder,”

Talia licked her dry lips nervously, feeling as if her throat were closing up. Her heart beating loud and furious in her ears.

“Breeder?” If she kept him talking, he wasn’t attacking her.

“A handful of Arcadians can breed true with the other races. Giving Lycan babies even to the feral like us,” his voice was friendly as he licked his lips.

“And the only way to find out...” the two men by the door took a step forward in perfect unison. Soft growls brewing in the back of their throats.

“Is to bleed you during sex.” His voice deepening, drawling out, his tone growing thicker. “If you heal, then you’re not worth as much. But if you carry our mark.... well, then your worth just tripled” pushing off the table. His brown eyes turning amber, his pupils expanding as he smiled slowly.

Sweat breaking out over her skin, Talia forced herself to breathe. To think.

“But it won’t work while I’m drugged, right? I’m more human like now.”

“It will take longer, but there’s nothing like seeing your mark on soft new flesh,”

Feeling the two men behind her, their warmth radiating as their breathing quickened, she could feel their heavy gaze without turning to look.

Talia kept her gaze fixed on Marcus and forced a smile to her lips.

“Well, if this is going to really happen,” her voice high and not as smooth as she was hoping, she flicked her hair over her shoulder. “Why don’t we just make it, the two of us? I am more than willing to make it worth your while.”

One rapist had to be easier to deal with than three. But Marcus didn’t even pause. His fingers traced her face for a moment before moving down to her neck, where they curled cruelly around her throat. Squeezing, he pulled her to him.

His mouth hovering over hers as he spoke slowly, his fully wolf’s eyes staring into hers.

“I want to taste your fear, hear you scream, watch your blood spill as you struggle and beg.”

Staring into his eyes, Talia trembled even as she felt her chin rise.

“I won’t give you the satisfaction,”

“Perfect” his smile sadistic. He gave a nod to the other two behind her.

SMILING, MARNIE TURNEDthe data back on her phone, dialing a number from memory as she tapped the steering wheel impatiently as she waited. She wanted out of these mountains before the Titans woke and found their prize gone.
