Nodding at the two bodyguards to unchain Ryder. It was the best he could do for him now.

Making his way towards the door, Hyde turned the photo over to glance at the back. Her name and address staring up at him. “Talia Simmons” even her name on his lips felt wrong.

THE SHEETS WERE SOAKEDwith sweat. As she sat up, her breathing heavy, the haze of sleep dissipated immediately. Her heart was pumping loud in her ears, her mind startling awake. Panic, raw and hot, washing over her.

“Talia Simmons,” she whispered. Her name, her photo, her address.

CHAPTER TWO

Everything hurt.

Talia groaned. Lifting her hand to block the sun from hitting her face. But something heavy and warm was laying across her arm. Her head turned gingerly, her eyes widening. She forgot to breathe. Blinking against the light spilling through the window, she stared at the thick black hair, only six inches away from hers.

He had found her. Biting back a scream. Her heart pounding harder than she had felt in her life, Talia fought not to lose it, to think.

“This is not happening” mouth dry, she swallowed hard. “Not happening.” She had to figure a way to escape before he woke.

How the hell did he find her?

She had woken from that dream weeks ago, with every instinct screaming at her to run.
