“No,” Aiden said adamantly, “I’m not waiting that long.”

“May?” she asked.

Annie frowned. “That’s in two and a half months’ time; it’ll take a miracle…”

“We’ll make it work,” Vivian interrupted.

Janice beamed. “Miracles happen on a regular basis in Marietta, I’ve discovered.”

“Anything else?” Aiden asked, already pulling Vivian behind him toward the door.

Annie threw her hands up in the air. “We can talk about the rest later. It’s obvious we won’t get anything more out of you tonight. I’ll phone Riley!”

Laughing, Vivian and Aiden ran out to his car. He opened the door for her, but before she could get in, he pulled her close. “I love you,” he breathed into her ear.

Glancing up at Copper Mountain, she leaned into Aiden’s embrace. “And I love you.” As she hugged his warm body, her heart finally settled down.

She’d found her home, all right. But not in the house she’d bought. Home, she’d discovered, wasn’t a building, it was this man she’d fallen in love with.

The End
