Declan’s grip tightens as he quickly slams his hips into mine, chasing his own release. He comes with a grunt and his hips still as his cock pulses inside me. His body collapses on mine. The only sound in the room is our heavy breathing.

“Maybe we should get married every day,” I breathe out with a soft laugh.

“I agree,” he kisses my temple gently before rolling off me and looking up at the ceiling.

Reaching down below our feet I grab the covers and pull them over us. I glance over at the clock and then back at Declan. “Happy birthday, honey,” I whisper before leaning down and kissing him gently.

He smiles against my lips. “This is already the best birthday I’ve ever had.”

“Wait till you see what we are doing in the morning.” I smile at him, and he raises an eyebrow. “Don’t worry, you’ll love it.”

Snuggling up to him, I lay my head on his chest and listen to the rhythmic sound of his breathing.

“I should probably call Finn and check in on everything,” Declan murmurs just as I’m about to fall asleep.

“Dec, he has it handled,” I sigh heavily. “You have to let go of control for two days. Tomorrow is our last day. Then you can go back to being the boss.”

“Yes, ma’am.” He kisses the top of my head and rubs my back. His soothing touch sends me back to my sleepy state, and before long I’m drifting off to sleep, my hunger from earlier long forgotten.

The next morning, I wake before Declan and slip out of his embrace without waking him. Stepping out onto the patio, I call room service and order breakfast. I sit down on the lounge chair and shoot Finn a quick text.

Is everything okay?

Yeah, except… you just got an unexpected weapons shipment?

What do you mean?

I mean, one of the guys just called, and the package arrived early.

Fuck. Can you have them handle it?

They know what they’re doing.

We will be home tomorrow.

Sure thing, Nat.

Go enjoy your vacation.

Thanks, call if you need anything.

I lock my phone just as the door to the patio opens.

“Who was that?” Declan’s gravelly voice comes from behind me.

“Um…” I hesitate and smile sheepishly up at him as he comes to stand beside me.

“How are you going to tell me to relax when you’re also working?” He sits down at my feet, pulling them into his lap.

“I know, I was just checking in.” I shrug. “He said I got an early weapons shipment, which is odd.”

“Room service just brought our breakfast,” he pats my leg. “Do you want to go eat?” He asks, sliding his hand along my calf.

Chapter thirty

Declan

We go inside the room and I open the trays from room service.
