“My, my, Santa. What a big bag you have!”

I turn and grin at my wife. “What do you expect? The twins will only be two once.”

“Vincent and Violet will not know the difference and you know it. You’re spoiling them.”

“And you. I’ve got gifts for you too.”

“I’ve got something for you too.”

I smirk and lift a brow at her, dropping my bag to the floor. “What do you have for me? Shouldn’t it wait for tomorrow?”

She shakes her head. “No. Tomorrow is for the kids. Tonight is for the two of us.”

She hands me a box and I shake it, grinning. “Now, I’m curious. What did you get me?”

“It’s hard to find something for the man who has everything but I think I have exactly what you want. Open it.”

She watches me carefully and I open the box slowly, then my mouth falls open when I see what’s in the box.

“You’re pregnant?”

“Yep. You knocked me up again. I just hope it isn’t twins again.”

“I hope it’s triplets. The more the merrier.”

She smacks my shoulder and groans. “Stop saying things like that.”

I haul her up against me and laugh when I realize that this time next year, my family will be bigger and I’ll have more babies to spoil.

Like she knows what I’m thinking, she cuts me off. “Don’t even think it. The baby will only be a few months old. They won’t need anything yet.”

I cock my head and wheedle, “Maybe just a few things.”

“Ugh. I knew I shouldn’t have told you.”

I hold her tight and kiss her gently. “I couldn’t believe you could make me any happier but you’ve done it. I cannot believe how much I love you and this family.”

“We love you too. Now, Santa. Go put that big bag of presents under the ridiculously big tree that you insisted the kids needed and then come upstairs. I’ve got another surprise for you that I picked up at the store the other day.”

His golden brown eyes twinkled and he grinned. “Get ready for me to stuff more than your stocking, sweetheart.”

She laughs and heads upstairs and I quickly chuck all the presents at the tree and then head upstairs for my gift, knowing that this year might be the best year ever. Next year…next year will be even better. And the year after that even better.

My family is the one thing in this life that I need to get by. The one thing that makes my life as good as it is.

Now to make Mrs. Claus as happy as she makes me.
