“Are you sure you should be here?” I ask and as dramatic as he is he jumps up and down.
“I’m healthy as a horse now baby.”
I laugh at his antics and I am really happy that he’s here.
Luca comes out of his office and smiles at Ryan.
“Welcome back Ryan. How are you feeling?”
Ryan smiles and him and does a funny wiggle.
“Healthy as a horse.”
“I really am sorry you fell victim to this menance. We will catch whoever did this and make them pay.”
It all sounds very Liam Neeson-ish and I love how much conviction he had on the matter.
“I’m sure we will. Thank you for the fruit basket sir.” Ryan says and Luca turns to look at me.
I stifle a smile and shrug and he narrows his eyes at that.
“You’re welcome, Ryan, but I have to say, it was all Evelyn. I barely did anything. I say this because I know what was in the basket.”
We laugh at this and he goes back into his office.
“Luca making jokes? What witchy spell have you cast on our mayor Evelyn?” Ryan asks and I shrug.
“I think Luca is a fun person, he just needs to remember how to be fun.”
I say and Ryan nods.
“Amen to that.”
“What do you have planned tomorrow?” I ask him and he raises his brows.
“Depends.”
“We’re going over to Luca’s to film him and the kids, he doesn’t want the press so close so I was thinking of keeping it in the circle and asking you to do the filming.”
Ryan’s eyes light up and that and he clutches my hands
“Babes, did I tell you about the Time I graduated too of my class from photography school?”
I laugh and shake my head.
“I thought it was law school?”
“Yeah but I took this law class one semester and it felt like a whole year.”
I laugh at that and say.
“Sure Ryan. We’d be glad to have you.”

Luca’s house is large.And beautiful. There’s a large garden at the back of the house and a whole ass pond. It’s really lovely.
Ryan can’t stop taking snaps with his phone.
