Our lips crash together, and the spark that started low in my stomach flares to life in a way no spark has before.
I kiss Jameson with everything in me.
It’s a heated frenzy of lust and anger and so many emotions I can’t even begin to label.
I’m not thinking.
I can’t.
This is my body taking control of my brain. Taking what it needs. And what that is, is Jameson.
His fingers dig into my hair as his tongue finds mine.
He kisses me deeply, thoroughly, demanding I do the same. Not that there’s any risk I won’t. I’m all in on this kiss. I want everything he has to give me.
When he growls into the kiss, I swear my ovaries explode.
I lose every last sense of control I’ve been trying to cling to.
Jameson could demand anything from me now and I would give it to him.
Of that, I am sure.
I have no idea how long we stand here kissing.
It could be a few minutes; it could be hours.
He’s ruining me and I am allowing it.
And then, he’s pulling his mouth from mine, growling and swearing all at once, and putting his phone to his ear while barking, “What?” into it.
I blink a few times and draw breath in.
What is happening right now?
Jameson’s body is still against mine, so I take a step back, trying to put distance between us, that kiss, and all the confusion rushing through me.
He lets me go but his eyes don’t. They stay firmly on mine.
I suck more air in.
I blink another couple times.
I gather my thoughts.
When Jameson finishes his phone call and slips his phone back into his pocket, I say, “Don’t ever do that again.”
His brows arch. “That wasn’t all on me.”
“It absolutely was.” I know that’s not true, but I refuse to take any credit for that kiss.
He receives a text, and after quickly checking it, he says, “I have to go. Don’t be late tonight.”
“I swear I will stab you if you continue treating me like this,” I snap, unable to keep my thoughts to myself.
His lips twitch like he’s amused. “Like what?”
“Like a fucking child. You don’t have to remind me of things after you’ve told me once.”
