I trailed my fingers over his shoulders and threaded them through his silky black hair. He dropped his hands to my hip, carefully raising the hem of my dress until the fabric bunched around my waist. When the heated, bare skin of his palms grabbed my hips, I sucked in a sharp breath.
“Levi, I want you inside me, please,” I begged, voice thin in the charged air between us.
His breath tickled my lips. “Not yet, songbird. I’ve got to make sure you’re ready.”
“I am. I’m ready. I want you.” Words I never thought I’d say, and yet I pleaded for him now.
“Fuck, I love hearing you say that.” Levi’s lips opened over mine again to suck my tongue into his mouth. Then he caught my bottom lip in his teeth and pulled.
I cried out, reflexively tugging at his hair. He chuckled darkly and released my lip. Following the sting of his bite, he smoothed over the ache with a delicate kiss.
But Levi wasn’t accepting the offer to have me, and that summoned a knife of insecurity in my gut. Doubt pressed down on the back of my neck until I disengaged from the kiss.
He tensed and backed off half a second after sensing the change in me. Now hands off and a full step back, he panted, “Are you okay?”
“Do you want me?” the pitiful question tumbled off my lips and into reality.
“Diana, never think that I don’t want you.” Levi’s entire body shuddered with his exhale. His hands broke the distance, grasping my face before dipping his forehead against mine. “I don’t want to hurt you for the first time,” he admitted.
“Levi,” I shook my head, leaning back against the wall.
He wanted to go slow for fear of hurting me. But I wasn’t some glass doll that his cock would shatter into pieces.
“I’ve used toys before. You think I haven’t experimented in the past decade? You won’t be the first thing inside me. I promise you won’t rip me in half.” Not like I’d mind if he did.
“Can’t I still be careful with you? Can’t I take a moment to ingrain this night into my memory for the rest of my life?”
“What if I don’t want you to be careful with me? What if I want you to rip this dress off me and fuck me right here on the floor?” I bit back. Slowly, I curled my arms around his neck. Then I rose onto the tips of my toes and flicked my tongue over his mouth.
“Don’t tempt me like that. It’s not fair,” he groaned, as if agonized by his restraint.
“Going easy on me because you think you’ll break me isn’t fair to either of us.” Without another word, I bypassed Levi completely. I stepped around him while peeling my dress away from my skin.
As I crossed the front entryway, he choked on a gasp. A heavy footstep on the carpet followed me. I dropped my dress at the base of the stairs and took the first step up, knowing that the rockstar shadowed my every move. By the top step, I’d unclasped my bra and tossed it over the banister.
The moment I braced my palm on my bedroom door, a heavy body collided with me. Strong arms encircled my waist as he swept me off my feet. All the wind punched past my lips when he hefted me into the air and promptly tossed me onto the edge of my bed.
In the room’s darkness, Levi and I were nothing more than two creatures of passion fervently pawing at one another. His mouth seared over my flesh, peppering kisses along my neck and collar before dropping his head to my breasts.
“You have no idea what you do to me,” his voice was ragged, and strained. Then he sucked my nipple into his mouth, and lightning blasted from my chest to my navel.
I gasped, back arching off the mattress as if Levi were pulling my body into his mouth. His exploring continued to my other breast, where he sucked and gently bit until it was as taut as the first. The entire time I fought to control myself beneath him, otherwise I’d writhe out of my skin.
“Levi. Levi. Please,” I whined as desperate tears built in the corner of my eyes.
He paused and rose over me. Enough light from the bedroom window lit up his devilish smile as he stared down at me, helpless and his for the taking. “Please, what, songbird? Sing all your desires into my ear, and maybe I’ll oblige them.”
Revolt against his teasing flared through me. I was on the edge and more agitated than he’d ever know.
In a burst of movement, I grabbed Levi and flipped him over. He grunted, flopping back on the mattress as I straddled his waist. I ground myself over his renewed erection, hiding beneath his jeans and holding his arms down over his head.
“You will oblige all my desires, Levi Stark.” I lowered over him, watching his smile widen and his chest heave rapidly. I skimmed my lips over his and pulled back when he attempted to kiss me.
“I’ll do anything for you.” Levi rolled his hips, rubbing his groin into my fluttering center.
“Then why don’t you sing for me?” I hummed back.
Levi went motionless between my legs. Suddenly frozen, he gazed up at me with endlessly deep, soft eyes. “Give me a chance, and I will,” he vowed.
