We all heard sirens off in the distance when Monk walked out with Hellraiser in his arms. The second she saw me, she damn near jumped from Monk into my arms. Holding her tightly, she wrapped her arm around me as she stared at the attorney, who narrowed his eyes and growled at her.

Widow heard the fucker and slapped him on the back of his head.

“Whatcha got, Kansas?” Conroy asked, walking into the clubhouse with two uniformed Police Officers behind him. The officers looking around and smiling.

“I want that man arrested for assault!

Ignoring the slimy fucker, Conroy walked over as I pointed at the three documents laying on the table. The two police officers stood next to Widow as one of them fist bumped my brother and nodded.

“These look legal,” Conroy growled.

“I know. Kali and the kids are not going anywhere till an attorney of my choosing verifies those documents, and you should also know that she will be here in a few minutes.”

Conroy froze and turned to me. “What?”

I nodded.

“Fuck,” he moaned, reaching for his phone and making a call. “Hey Chief, it’s Conroy. Better send a few more boys out to the Diamondback clubhouse and you might want to come with them. Kansas called in the big gun. Yeah. She’s on the way.”

“I’m already here.”

Everyone’s head snapped to the doors as no one dared moved. There, standing in a perfectly tailored creamy white Valentino suit with a dark blood red silk shirt, hair coiffed and styled to perfection, stood my mother, Virginia Stone, in all her glory. Though it had only been a few weeks since I last saw her, she still had that same look on her face that told me I was about to have my ass handed to me. I wondered if she reserved that look for all her sons or just me. But that wasn’t the only shock. Standing next to her was my father. George Stone, former President of the Soulless Sinners. And to make matters worse, he was wearing his cut.

Fuck. My. Life.

“Kansas.”

“Mom.”

Walking towards me, she asked. “What’s the problem?”

I pointed to the documents on the table as my father approached me. Standing before the man I hadn’t seen since I was eighteen, my father looked me up and down before grabbing me and Talia in his arms, hugging us tightly.

“What in the hell?” my mom sneered before ripping up the documents. “Whoever created these documents is going to jail. Who tried to serve them?”

I pointed to the slimy fucker sitting in his own filth. My mom grinned, and I cringed. I knew that smile. It was her you fucked with the wrong person smile. It meant she was about to make this slimy fucker’s life a living hell.

“Conroy, arrest that man on charges of embezzlement and attempted kidnapping.”

“What the fuck!” the man screamed, making Talia jump. My father stepping to my other side, collectively sandwiching in my young charge. Rubbing her back, I listened as my mom continued. “I don’t know who the hell you work for, but you seriously fucked up when you came after my son’s woman.”

Yeah, my mom was in a dither.

I was not about to correct her.

There was no fucking way I was going to interrupt my mother when she was on a roll. I was just thankful she was in the area when I needed her. I knew those documents weren’t legal. I also knew that Mr. Crisp was the only one who handled Kali’s affairs. Without her attorney present, that slimy fuck could force Conroy to execute those documents.

Someone was trying to steal Kali’s money and was planning to use her kids to do it. There was only one fucking person on the planet with enough balls and a technical claim to her kids who could do such a thing. And when I got my hands on that motherfucker, he wasn’t going to see the light of day ever again. Over my dead body would that motherfucker get near any of them.

“Where is John Stevens?” my mother sneered, getting right to the point. The entire world knew what happened to Kaliope. It was all over the news and in all the papers. The shocking nature of brutality that her ex inflicted was unheard of. The damage was so severe, the doctors honestly didn’t believe she would survive. That’s why Montana hid her here. No one would think to look for her in a motorcycle club in Southwestern Oklahoma. Like me, my mom could see through bullshit fast. She wasn’t the former New York state attorney for nothing.

No one fucked with my mom and got away with it.

The man’s face paled.

“He laughed at momma.”

Several heads snapped to Talia.
