Or maybe they knew better than to look at me.

I felt it in the air.

The violent hockey player forced to see a shrink.

Not that it was something unknown.

The stories and rumors were everywhere about me.

I couldn’t escape it, just like I couldn’t escape Anna.

All it would take was one phone call to fix it.

If I told Bobby who Anna was…

I’d have a new shrink in a heartbeat.

Then what?

I’d never see Anna again.

Thinking that and not jumping for joy?

That really pissed me off too.

I punched the door to the gym open.

I skipped going straight for the locker room and walked a few hallways, making my way to the practice ice.

I wasn’t allowed on the ice.

That didn’t mean I couldn’t stand there and watch practice.

I folded my arms and watched as Atlas dropped back on a breakaway from Sebastian.

I knew all of Sebastian’s moves.

Personally, I would have attacked Sebastian.

I would have put all my trust in Jago if Sebastian got around me.

But trust me, Sebastian wouldn’t get around me.

Sebastian quickly stopped.

“Here it is,” I whispered.

Atlas hesitated for a split second.

Sebastian took a quick shot.

It came off his stick a little high.

Jago jumped up and the puck hit his right shoulder and went way up and over the net.

Jago took his mask off and pointed at Sebastian. “What was that?”

“I tried something new,” Sebastian said.
