They both locked eyes on each other.

My stomach did a couple of cartwheels and a backsault. Were they about to kiss? My heart raced like crazy at the thought of it.

"Tell us what you want," Mannix whispered, without taking his eyes off Ice.

Was it just that easy?

My tongue darted over my lips.

I started to say, 'Only if you want to,' but stopped myself. They wanted me to be honest about what I wanted, so that's what I'd give them.

"I want you to kiss each other." Blood pumped so loud in my ears I hardly heard myself speak, but I knew the words came out and were audible, because Mannix put his hands on Ice's shoulders and drew him closer until their chests met.

The first kiss was just a brushing of lips, but soon became deeper, more passionate.

The wet smacking of their mouths was almost enough to make me come on the spot.

And then they were drawing apart, their eyes still on each other.

"I've been wanting to do that for a long time," Ice said softly.

"Me too." Mannix looked at Ice like he hadn't seen him before. Not in this light anyway.

"Did you like that, Princess?" Mannix turned his head slightly to look at me.

I swallowed hard. "I liked that a lot. It was hot, and you two together is… It looks so right."

"It's as right as you with either of us, or both of us." Ice slipped an arm around me and pulled me closer to both of them. "Now if we can just convince Ares."

"Ares will come around in his own time," Mannix said.

We all turned to look over to where Ares swam laps of the pool.

As far as I could tell, they'd all done at least an hour or two of exercise in the gym, and now they were out here doing more. They were nothing if not dedicated to keeping their bodies looking fucking amazing.

I was one hundred percent here for it. That was the reason I was in the pool myself. To exercise and keep fit.

If Ares noticed us watching, he gave no sign. He powered on through the water, arm over arm, over arm. He could have contended with any Olympic swimmer, if he wanted to. I didn't blame him if he didn't. I understood the level of dedication it took to get to a high level of an athlete's chosen sport. I'd opted to focus on my studies and keep gymnastics as a hobby, and I didn't regret that. Even if I was good enough, I wasn't dedicated enough to make it to the top. I preferred to be the top in cybersecurity, and stick to climbing, swinging and tumbling for what spare time I had.

I grabbed Mannix's wrist and looked at his watch.

"I should hop out. I have to interview coaches in an hour." I wished Charlie hadn't turned out to be such a dickhead, because this process was a pain in my ass. What did I know about hiring staff? All I knew was that I wanted someone who wasn't going to try to kill me, or handcuff me to a chair, or hand me over to someone who would kill me, or…

Yeah, it was a long list.

"We're coming with you," Mannix said.

Ice nodded his agreement.

"Maybe I should hire Nicola to run the place while I coach," I said with a sigh. I headed for the ladder to haul myself up out of the water. "How did you get her to sell the place anyway?"

Mannix grinned. "We knew a few things about her she didn't want other people to know about." He was smug as hell.

Whatever it was, it must have been big. She was attached to the place. Did I want to know what she did? As long as it had nothing to do with the children, then probably not. Honestly, if it had anything to do with the children, she'd be dead right now.

I grabbed up my towel. It dangled from my fingers. "You bribed her?"

"I prefer to think of it as gentle persuasion," he said. "Bribery is such an ugly word."
