“Of course, there are things I wish I had done differently, but life gave me a second chance to rebuild our love, so I’m not going to waste that chance.”
“Ha. That’s funny,” I giggle. He raises an eyebrow and looks unamused. “Not the sweet words. I was just thinking about how you are in construction, and you mentioned rebuilding our love. Irony.”
“Only you would compare the two,” he chuckles. “And, so what if we are rebuilding love?”
“Rebuilt love,” I correct. He gives me a funny look. “Past tense since the love is already here.”
“Fine. My dear sweet wife.” He kisses me softly. “Neverending rebuilt love.”
