“Yes. I think her name is Ivetha. She’s a programmer.”

“Right, well, she’s coming, too, and Sariah is excited, so now, I am super curious. What can I do?”

“Get the raw materials from the house. If you want cinnamon buns or other pastries, have Patha help.”

Amadine snapped a salute and departed. Geero rolled up his sleeves. “Where do you want me?”

Ondine opened her mouth and snapped it shut. “Go wash your hands. After that, we will start with warming butter and getting ready to deal with the dough. How are you at cinnamon buns?”

“I am better at eggs and bacon.”

She nodded. “How about coffee?”

“Oh, I am excellent at coffee.”

“Then shoo.” Ondine turned him toward the kitchen and patted his butt.

He laughed and went to make coffee. “My parents are going to get a kick out of you.”

“I promise not to kick them.” She smiled and started to gather plates.

“You aren’t curious about Sariah’s sibling?”

“Nope. If she is Sariah’s power class, she will be fun.”

He looked dubious but made the coffee.

An hour later, they were outside waiting on the rolls when a thrumming sound got their attention. Amadine watched with a worshipful face, and Ondine grinned. “She’s here.”

The thrumming ceased, and there was the sound of a door opening, and then there were gasps and happy shrieks as the teens ran toward the vehicle that had just released its passenger.

Sariah was with them, and she hugged her sibling and whispered in her ear. They were both stunning, but they weren’t twins. Ondine had met their adoptive mother, and she didn’t look anything like them. Whomever their original parents had been, they must have been gorgeous.

Ondine walked over as Ivetha was hugged by the teens. She didn’t know her personally, but she knew her face. “Programmer. I didn’t know you and Sariah were related, though seeing you together, I am surprised that I am that much of an idiot.”

Ivetha smiled. “It is good to see you looking relaxed, Titan. Uh, Ondine.”

Sariah snorted. “Of course. Ivetha specializes in specialty programming.”

“That is very special.”

Geero walked up behind Ondine and slid his arm around her waist. He looked at Ivetha. “Fifty-one?”

Ivetha looked at him. “You know, I have managed to keep that pretty quiet.”

Geero stiffened. “Oh, damn. I am sorry.”

“It’s fine. I am pretty sure I know what happened to any advanced cognition that you had.” Her dark eyes sparkled.

Ondine blushed.

Amadine came out of the house and yelled, “Cinnamon rolls are ready.”

Ivetha smiled. “That sounds like a delightful invitation. Shall we?”

Amadine rushed up. “Ivetha! I am so happy you could make it. We haven’t talked in far too long.”

Geero blinked. “Was she an escort for you, too?”
