Molly then glances over at something above my shoulder as if it’s too much. “I was running low on my good deeds. So I decided to bestow one on you.”
“But you wore the most sinful dress known to man.”
Her green eyes slice over to me amusingly. “Did you want me to look like your blind date from the other night?”
“Fuck no,” I convey immediately. “However, now I feel like an asshole that didn’t protect you from getting raped by any dude’s eyes around here.”
“I can handle myself,” she says with a shrug, as though she’s been doing it for a while. “It’s not a big deal.”
“It is to me when you’re with me.”
She cocks her head to the side as if not fully believing it.
She hasn’t seen it, that’s why.
“We didn’t establish rules on me kissing you,” I say. “So, what’s the limit on that?”
“There is none.”
“At all?”
She rocks her head back and forth. “I’m completely committed to the cause.”
Leaning forward, I apply more pressure to her back with my palm to keep her as close as possible. “I’m not sure what to think of you.”
“I’m not that hard to figure out.”
“That’s what you all say.”
Molly’s nose wrinkles as if I’m reading too much into this. “Flowers, food, and good sex. That’s all I need.”
“You sound like a guy.” I expect her to be insulted by the shit that just word-vomited from my throat but she just chuckles.
“You like flowers?”
“No, but if they’re what I need to get to a woman’s body, I’ll take whatever.”
She quirks a brow. “So food and sex for you then?”
I grunt my response as I step back and put some space between us so I can spin her around once to get her to stop talking about sex.
Molly spins gracefully, like she’s done it a million times, and comes right back into me.
“That was good,” she praises.
“It’s the least I could do since I haven’t given you any attention tonight.”
“That wedding you mentioned earlier sounds pretty epic.”
I smirk because I know she’s joking. “I’m not getting married again.”
“Then I guess tonight in my black dress will have to do.”
That I can give her.
My lips brush against hers but I don’t go in for the kill yet.
I’m learning how her body reacts, noticing the way her mouth just chased mine.
