“Foods that they—”

“The girls are kids, and they do kid shit. This isn’t a communist country where I run a tight ship and the last nanny couldn’t handle it.”

“What did happen with the last nanny?”

She went to go work for my ex-wife because Olivia just loves taking everything of mine.

“Found another position,” I leer. “Anything else?”

“Are you going to fix your face before I do?”

This woman.

I don’t remember her being so fucking annoying.

But then again, she wasn’t inmyhouse, or anything other than a one-night thing.

“What else do you want to know?” I ask, trying to keep my tone even because this is her job and she needs to be privy to these things.

“If you’re not openly telling me then I’m assuming the girls don’t have any special needs that I have to be aware of.”

“No.”

Molly bows her head. “Okay then. Thank you.”

You’re such an asshole.

Pushing off from the doorframe, I begin to turn when Molly’s next words stop that from happening.

“Am I allowed to ask you questions or tell you how the kids are doing or do I need to set up an appointment for that?”

“Any other stupid-ass comments you want to make, Molly? Or can you unpack and leave me in peace for the rest of the night?”

Molly steps toward me and doesn’t stop until she’s right at her door. Her tits fill out her tight white tee and that fucking hair…I’ve always preferred blondes—before Olivia—but now I know I’ve switched sides.

Because Molly’s fire that seeps through her hair just makes me want to yank down on it and expose that pretty little neck of hers before I sink my teeth into it.

Her fingers find the edge of the door before giving me this stare-off that tells me to go fuck my entire self before slamming the damn thing in my face.

I guess that answers that fucking question.

MOLLY

“What’syourfavoritecolor?”

“Purple.”

“What’s your favorite ice cream?”

“Chocolate peanut butter.”

“Ew.”

I smile at Bria’s reaction. I thought it’d be me getting to know the girls this morning, but it’s been the other way around. Bria is independent, curious, and she has a hard head on her shoulders which reminds me of her dad.

Kai has been nothing but an asshole since I moved in here last night and I never left my room after that. I wasn’t in the right headspace to go another round, and I began second-guessing myself on how this scenario may have not been the best idea imaginable.
