“Okay, that was hot as fuck,” Serenity noted but Collin ignored her.

“We did it, Ellie,” Collin said, his hazel eyes dancing with happiness. It was nice to see him smiling again.

“We did what?” I asked, confused. “Something with the packhouse?”

“Nope,” he said. When he paused for dramatic effect I couldn’t help but search the bond for clues. All I could pick up on was excitement and anticipation. Despite it making me antsy, it was wholly unhelpful.

“Okay, I give up, tell me,” I demanded.

“Even better. We sold the storefront.”

“No way,” I gasped. “So, the rumors are true? Tell me you didn’t sell to a coffee shop. Walter is in a rage today over it.”

His smile faltered slightly at the news. “Damn, the gossip already spread?” He looked downright disappointed now and I felt bad for ruining the mood.

“So, it is a coffee shop?”

“What, no,” he said quickly. “Flower and specialty-gift shop, actually. I met the guy to sign papers just now, I wanted to keep it a surprise until we were sure. But he insisted on bringing the necessary paperwork and getting it all going. We did some via fax so it should be wrapped completely in a week. The omega didn’t play around.”

“Stop, an omega running a flower shop. That sounds like something out of a movie,” Kat said, practically salivating at the idea. “Do we know if he’s straight?”

“Honestly, I have no clue,” Collin admitted. “He was really nice and confident, but didn’t give much away. We mainly talked about work and a little about Lockwood.”

“Challenge accepted. I’m going to need to know when things go through and he takes over,” she said with a grin. “Ellie got her pack, my turn is next.”

“Better you than me,” Serenity said, waving a hand between them as if she could ward off the thoughts of having a pack like they were contagious. “I’m solid being single and having one night stands for the rest of my life.”

“I’m completely shocked by this news,” Kat deadpanned. “Maybe our favorite margarita man will give you a fun night. He’s single.”

“And he definitely doesn’t bat for our team,” Serenity said. “He just mixes delicious drinks and feeds me queso, that’s enough for me.”

“We should celebrate tonight,” I said. “They have more drinks than just margaritas.”

“Text the chat,” Collin said quickly. “I have to go tell your brother.”

“Invite him, too,” I said. “I’ll text Tori.”

“Maybe we should warn the restaurant, that’s quite a crowd,” Kat said, already picking up her phone.

“It’s not margarita time yet,” Walter grumbled. He’d lost some of his anger and I couldn’t help but tease him.

“I’m guessing you heard the good news about our new flower shop coming to town?” He gave me a side eye but nodded. Walter could hear everything we said from his office and despite tuning us out half the time, he always heard the important things.

“Good, I was ready to go to war,” he muttered. “I’m glad your alpha has some fucking sense.”

“He’s a smart guy,” I agreed, giving Collin a wink. My mate leaned down and brushed a kiss over my lips, ignoring Walter’s grumblings about PDA.

“I’m off. I’ll give you the details tomorrow. For tonight, we celebrate,” he said before waving at the others and rushing out.

I waited until Walter had gone back to his cave before pulling out my phone and texting the group.

Ellie: We sold the storefront! Celebration tonight at six. Tacos, drinks, me.

Atlas: Oh, you’re on the menu? Count me in. ;)

Dean: I’m going to have to agree with my brother.

Ellie: You can definitely have me after, but it’s not just pack tonight
