“Yes, ma’am,” he said, tipping a nonexistent hat like a true southern gentleman before heading that way.

Bear took the tests and tossed them on the counter.

“We need these as well as my prescription,” he said, giving her his details so she could pull it up.

The pharmacy wasn’t a place I frequented so thankfully, no one here knew me. I barely listened as he got his prescription and paid. When the tests were securely in the bag is when I finally took a breath again.

We didn’t bother to speak as he drove us back home. The others were still at work so I pulled him into my bedroom with me, dumping the tests on the bed and reading instructions. Deciding on the digital test first, I read instructions and looked at my omega.

“Don’t leave.”

“I wouldn’t dream of it,” he promised. Now he was the one whose knees were bouncing anxiously. “How long is the wait?”

“Well, I have to pee so that part is fine, just the three minutes for it to register and show the results.”

“Go pee then, woman!” he demanded. Laughing at the attempt at an alpha order I turned and marched into the bathroom, closing the door behind me.

That wasn’t a boundary we were crossing tonight. We’d already dove headfirst into this wild relationship, no need to rock the boat.

Peeing on the test was one of the most awkward things I’d done, but once I finished I capped it, washed my hands, and returned with the test in hand.

The dots appeared and disappeared in succession, showing it was working on the results. I sat down next to him, both of us watching the screen as we waited.

“This is the longest fucking three minutes of my life,” he groaned.

“It’s going to be fine, it’s going to be fine,” I chanted as the dots disappeared again. This time, they didn’t come back. Instead, a single word replaced it.

“Holy shit, I’m pregnant.”

Trevor

My eyes couldn’t seem to look away from the image we’d captured earlier today. The Pharmacy was small and she was already glancing around like an escaped convict, but I’d managed to keep my distance.

The moment she stopped in the pregnancy test section I knew this was our chance. Grabbing a photo wasn’t easy, but between the security mirror and sneaking around aisles, I captured several.

The sight of my omegas together, testing for pregnancy with another alpha’s baby, was nauseating.

She was supposed to be ours. And now she’d taken Bear away, too. They all had.

We tried to play nice, but now I was livid. This was the life we were promised, the one we’d gone on the show for, and this bitch had turned the entire fucking world against us.

Including our omega.

We’d told Morgan that we would come back here to clear all of our names, but it was a lie. Bear was right about one thing, she was never satisfied with her life. Even when we tried to make it work she wanted more. A bigger house, more money, us to fix every problem she started.

None of that mattered, it all started with ruining their lives, like they ruined ours.

It didn’t matter if she was or not at this point, the press would eat this up.

Trevor: I’ve got something for you. Think you can spread to the right outlets?

Candace: Depends on if it’s worth it or not

Trevor: Incoming

The phone rang within seconds and I barely held back my laughter. Jacob would be laughing right along with me when he got back.

“This is golden,” she praised. “The press will love it. But why do you want it out?”
