I’d expected her to be more emotional with the pregnancy, but with Bear to focus on she was able to keep calm.

Even knowing that the Forrest Pack was in jail hadn’t taken away the rain clouds that hovered over them. Over all of us. Just looking at Bear was a stark reminder.

I hoped this was the turning point we really needed.

“You two need to go change and get in the car. We have a surprise… and don’t worry, no public places,” Ezra reassured them when both omegas started to protest.

That had them snapping their mouths closed. Ellie dragged Bear toward the bedroom that they shared right now.

Most omegas would be territorial. But Ellie and Bear fell into a comfortable relationship, already reforming the connection they started. Even as they watched Collin give the other attention, there was no real jealousy. They had a bond that only grew stronger over the last few weeks.

“I’m afraid they’re turning into agoraphobes,” Dean said. He tried to make it sound like a joke but with the serious look on his face and the grim expressions on all of ours, it fell flat.

“We’ve got to get Morgan out of town. Bear has a restraining order against her already but there’s not much more we can do. You can’t exactly complain to the police because someone else is living in the same town that you are,” I countered.

“Hopefully, the new packhouse will help,” Ezra said. “She hasn’t seen the new greenhouse. I think that alone is going to help her get some of her stress out.” His voice was low so they couldn’t overhear if they rushed back into the room.

The greenhouse was one thing that Ellie put on her list of wants. She mentioned she knew it wasn’t really attainable right now and was fine with it.

But we weren’t.

Not a single one of us was going to deny our omega something like this.

Ezra quickly found somebody who specialized in constructing them, and the man had a cancellation the following week. Within three full weeks we had a fully functioning greenhouse.

It wasn’t over the top or huge, but it was perfect for what she needed. I could almost picture it with vines creeping up the walls and the inside blooming with plants, our omega happily covered in dirt.

We were well aware of what kind of life she had before coming to Lockwood. Ellie had support from her siblings but that didn’t mean she had anyone who really provided for her, so she did it herself.

Now we were going to change that. Ensuring our omega had a place of her own to escape to in a house full of people and a crazy-busy life, was important.

And we didn’t stop with just Ellie.

Bear would have his own place as well. It was actually Ezra’s idea to turn half of the garage into a reading nook. Both he and Ellie loved reading and I knew they might share the space, but we made this with Bear in mind.

I’d suggested the nest but the others were afraid we might never see the omegas again.

A large window faced the back of the property, overlooking the trees beyond. We walled off the workshop on the other side and filled the place with cozy chairs, books, and a few plants to give it life.

Two lamps rested on either side of the fluffy sofa, allowing him to have a soft light while reading at night.

The workshop was for Collin and Bear, and maybe Ezra if he decided to really give woodworking a try. After building this home together the three had found a knack for construction and between new projects and ones that popped up here, we needed the space for it.

Dean and I didn’t have intricate hobbies outside of loving movies and we had a perfect living room and big screen TV inside the house.

Ezra had claimed the shed as a place to store his fishing equipment and talked about eventually getting a small fishing boat.

“We’re ready,” Ellie sang out.

There was still a patch of white in Bear’s hair and Ellie had a dot of flour on her nose. Collin and Ezra stepped up to them, wiping the flour off of their omegas before leading them outside, Dean trailing behind.

I stopped long enough to check that the stove was off before walking out of the house that we’d made our own over the last few months.

It was almost bittersweet. This place had gotten us through some tough times and recovery. But we also came together here, found our rhythm as a pack. I was almost sad to see it go.

However the moment we drove up to the old farm house, that was all forgotten. I took in the fresh coat of paint on the exterior, the perfectly manicured lawn, and knowing the love and thought that went into every step of this process, I knew we’d never truly regret this decision.

“Oh my god, is that what I think it is?” Ellie gasped, practically shoving the door open before Dean had even parked. She was off and running across the grass, circling around the house and through the yard. For a pregnant lady, that omega sure had speed.
