“Candace had her hands in it from the start, I think,” I muttered. “She had Morgan in her pocket.”

“I’m, honestly, going to be surprised if Candace still has a job after all this,” Atlas said. “Not only has she had issue after issue with handling the show that she was in charge of, but she interjected herself to the point that lives were changed.”

“People love drama. They will watch more than ever now to see if this blows up even more. They’ll come back next season, too, to see if it’s the same level of drama. This is why reality TV is so big,” I explained. “Her job is secure.”

We had to stop the conversation when hair and makeup came in. It was almost comical to watch them brush makeup across the guys’ faces. They all sucked it up and soon, they all looked magazine ready.

The stylists saved me for last, taking their time taming my wild curls and brushing on my makeup.

Wardrobe was in as soon as they were done, fitting the guys for tuxes and rolling in racks of them until everyone was dressed but me. It was a flurry of guys ducking behind the screen and the guys getting poked and prodded until they looked perfect.

Finally, a dress was shoved into my hand and I was pushed behind the makeshift dressing curtain. The twins moved with me, helping me strip out of my street clothes and helping fasten me in the dress.

It was bright-red, the tight bodice covered in shimmering lace. The satin skirt flared out just below my breasts. It would at least be comfortable to sit in for an extended period of time. Much better than the Cinderella-style dress they’d crammed me into for the last episode.

The top was halter style, the straps enhancing the cleavage pregnancy was starting to build up. Thankfully, I wasn’t showing yet and if I was, the dress would hide it. The secret was still mine to break at this point.

A low rumbling filled the air as I stepped out behind the screen. Both alphas were looking at me like they wanted to fuck me right here and now. Bear was gazing at me reverently, a hand on his chest.

The twins were the only ones not shocked by my appearance since they got to check me out the entire time I got dressed. Though, their expressions were no less wolfish than the others.

They did a whole lot for an omega’s confidence. Finally, I felt ready to face this head on.

“They’re going to regret ever rejecting you,” Ezra promised as he brushed a kiss across my cheek. “You look gorgeous.”

Ellie

The stage lights were blinding above us, making it nearly impossible to breathe. I felt like I was going to suffocate under the heat and the pressure of the interview as a whole.

Bear and I were situated in front of the rest of our pack while they sat in an arc behind us, facing off against Candace.

Surprisingly, they didn’t lead us to the stage that I was rejected on but a new room altogether. It was set up interview-style with our chairs on one side, hers on the other, and a screen on the wall between us. Currently, it held a logo for the show, but soon, I knew it would hold the three faces we never wanted to see again.

Candace could say that she was protecting Bear and I all she wanted, but it was obvious that they only cared about the network. She was making him face the two men who had nearly taken his life. Thank god they couldn’t actually be here in person. Video was bad enough.

No one on the crew was giving us the time of day after the confrontation. Candace was speaking low to one of the producers and from the side glances she shot our way, it didn’t bode well for what was waiting for us here.

Soon, the cameramen were rushing around frantically, one main camera focusing in on Candace. She fixed a smile on her face as theMy Fairytaletheme music blared overhead, slowly fading before Candace was taking over.

“Welcome back toMy Fairytale. We have finally reached the long-awaited reunion episode where we’re going to get the inside scoop on where everyone has been since they appeared on this stage together. The season was full of flirting, heartbreak, betrayal, and ultimately ended in a rejection that shocked the nation. Sitting with me in the studio are Ellie and Bear, and the pack they have formed since leaving here.”

“Thanks for having us,” I offered when the camera shifted our way. Bear gave a strained smile and wave while the pack remained stoic behind us. We probably looked like we were being held at gunpoint.

Candace forged ahead like that wasn’t the most awkward introduction to be aired on TV.

“Joining us from the other studio is Morgan. Unfortunately, the Forrest Pack could not be here due to remaining in jail, however the system has allowed us to interview them as well, so they will be on screen with her. That means we will get you every bit of the gossip you’ve been long craving.”

She spoke fluidly to the cameras, her conniving smile in place. It, honestly, just made my skin crawl.

Things only got progressively worse. The screen behind her switched to a feed of Morgan on one side in the studio and the Forrest Pack on the other. The guys were dressed in their orange jumpsuits and I immediately, reached for Bear’s hand, ignoring the camera that zoomed in on the action. I hated that he was shaking now. This was every victim’s nightmare.

“Thank you for joining us,” she told them all.

Morgan was done up just like I was and she leaned forward to show her boobs as she waved at the camera. Everything Morgan did was purposeful, begging for approval from those around her.

“Thanks for having me,” Morgan gushed. “I’m excited to be here again!”

“We wish we were there in person,” Trevor added. “But as you can see life is taking a few turns for us.” There was a bitterness in his voice but not a damn person in this world felt bad for them but themselves.
