“The network approved you coming in. You’ll even have your own dressing room to share between all of you, no chance of running into anyone that way,” she offered. “We’ll bring in some contracts.”

“What have you done to honor the restraining order with Morgan?” Ezra asked before we’d even moved a muscle.

“We have two different studios here. The second one is where we’re putting her and she’ll be on screen for the live interview. Leave it up to us, we’ll handle the logistics,” she said sharply.

“Fine,” was all he gave her. She blinked rapidly as if she couldn’t believe how rude and difficult we were being. Finally, she turned on her heel and led us inside.

Old memories were coming back as we walked through the halls. She led us through the room I was rejected in. On purpose, I'm sure.

Unease and bitterness settled into my bones as I looked around. The feeling of pain and hurt were something I wouldn’t forget easily. Collin reached for my hand, giving it a squeeze, and chasing away all of the bitter memories this room held.

Not once had my pack considered leaving me behind.

Candace clicked her heels impatiently when I paused a few moments too long. Bear and I looked at each other, rolling our eyes before following her. She hadn’t become any more likable since we'd last interacted with her.

“So, Candace, are you guys going to be back for another season? It seems like this one didn’t go according to plan,” I offered in a sickly sweet tone. I was definitely goading her at this point and I had no regrets.

She turned to me, pure fire in her eyes. Then her usual fake mask was back in place. She had it down to an art.

“Actually, we are,” she said. “The reunion episode will air information at the end to tell people how to sign up to be in the next season.”

“Oh, should I tweet that information now so I can ruin it for the network like you tried to announce to the world I was pregnant? Especially when you had no clue if I was or wasn’t,” I offered. My face was the mask of innocence.

“You would be breaking contract,” she growled. Her lips were now pursed as she stared me down.

“I’m not under contract,” Dean said. The twins had a mischievous grin on their faces and I had no doubt that they’d follow through with the threat.

Candace let out a long breath as if she were fighting to keep control. I doubt anyone had challenged her quite so intensely and I was proud that we held the title. She’d put us through enough bullshit to deserve the torture.

“If you do, the repercussions would be severe. You can either stay with your omegas and drop your phones with the staff, who will give them back after we wrap tonight. Or you can leave now. But I promise you if these omegas walk out of the studio they will both be breaching contract and we have an entire legal team who is not afraid to act.”

“Are you threatening my pack?” I questioned, taking a step forward. She stepped back, startled by my advance. I wasn’t going to sit here and take her disrespect anymore.

She didn’t bother to say anything to defend herself, simply gesturing at the crew who collected our phones. The guys gave them up willingly, as did Bear and I. Every single one of them was locked with a passcode so there was nothing they could do to break into them and use whatever they find against us.

We also had all of the pictures and evidence that we collected on the pack and Morgan saved and backed up.

We had nothing to fear but the network was playing with fire by even inviting me back. I had no intention of being a pushover this time.

“Here’s your dressing room. Hair and makeup will be with you shortly, as will the wardrobe team.”

She turned on her heels and I could hear her stomping down the hall like a petulant child.

“It seems she doesn’t like our attitudes anymore, Ellie,” Bear joked. We both cracked up. Some of the tension left our bodies as we settled into the chairs around the room. There were cameras in here, too, but without the crew pushing them in our faces it was a bit easier to tolerate.

“I did not miss having someone watch us at all times,” I said, shuddering. “I don’t know how we did it for so long.”

“When we first arrived, we were ready to have some fun,” Bear said. “The cameras didn’t become a problem until Morgan got involved.”

“Did Trevor or Jacob ever even like me?” I questioned. “Or did they just like the attention they got from me choosing them over the others?”

My gaze stayed purposely on the omega I was talking to. I didn’t want to look at the guys and find that they were hurt by me questioning it. They knew I chose them, I was just curious if it all was a lie.

“Well, you, obviously, know I liked you,” Bear said carefully. “But I don’t think so, not really. They would joke about you being a prude or too innocent. Morgan had experience and wasn’t afraid to drop to her knees for them.”

“I’m glad I didn’t give in to them. There was attraction there but something always held me back and it wasn’t because I was a prude.” I rolled my eyes at the idea. Hell, I wasn’t even a virgin like they assumed.

“They were idiots,” Dean muttered.
