Kat made a beeline for her favorite store, heading straight for the racks of bikinis.

"Oh, this one's perfect for you, Ellie," she said, handing over one and then finding several more before doing the same for me and herself.

"Sorry, Bear, you just get to watch us parade around in bikinis for now," she said with a shrug. "The men's department is on the other side if you'd rather do that."

"I'm not trying to lose my life today," Bear joked. "I'm going to head over to the men's section."

"Where are our bodyguards?" I questioned, glancing around. Not seeing them had my nerves ramping up. This asshole was turning me paranoid.

"Over there," Ellie said reassuringly. She pointed to one of the columns where the two alphas were leaning, talking to themselves but keeping an eye on us.

The idea of having a babysitter infuriated me, but I'd never appreciated having alphas in my life more than I did right now.

"Just try on the bikinis," Kat protested, practically shoving me into a room. I held up the first bikini and lost it.

"No way am I wearing this," I called out. The triangles were so small they barely covered what I needed it to. It might be fine for the yacht but not if we made any stops.

I took it off and went to the next, trying on three before I found one that was perfect. It had high-waisted bikini bottoms and the top was halter style. It had a vintage flair to it and of course it was black.

Kat rolled her eyes and let out a long-suffering sigh when I stepped out.

"How did I know you would pick that one?" she teased. "At least find one different one as well. I promise we're going to bewayunder budget. Your alpha is insane." She shook her head and I knew that Isaac told her an insane price if even she was scoffing at it.

"Fine. One," I agreed, letting her find a few more for me. After vetoing them all I went and picked one out for myself this time. I found another that was a bit more revealing but still black. I knew Kat would approve of it.

Ellie and I picked through the cover-ups, grabbing one for each of us while Kat was trying her own on. Bear joined us again, two different pairs of trunks in his hand. We sat on the benches waiting for her.

She finally came out ten minutes later with her own selections in hand.

"Man, that was a hard choice," she complained. She hung up the rejected ones on the rack. "You never know what single, sexy alphas will be waiting at the lake for us."

"How is Grant going to feel about that?" Ellie questioned, a devious smile on her face as we all turned our attention to Kat.

“You don't get to avoid us this time, bestie," I said as I blocked her path.

She groaned. "Okay, you've got me. Do you want to know that I call him daddy in bed?" She narrowed her eyes before cracking up at our horrified expressions.

"Nope, no more questions," I said, holding up my hands and letting her pass.

"I'm totally going to tell the twins that just to gross them out," Ellie said with a snort, already texting them and cackling at their protests. Gif after gif was rolling in.

"Neither one of us are really eager to put strings on things. We're not exactly fated but he makes me happy. I don't actually want anyone else," Kat admitted. She went from playful to serious and I knew she was struggling with it.

"I think that's wonderful." I gave her hand a squeeze. "I'm happy for you, you deserve somebody."

"He treats me well," she said. "I'm not used to that."

She had indulged in one too many nights at the club, finding quick hookups and one night stands. For a long time, she had held out for fate to send her mates, but one never came along. Maybe there was a reason. Grant was honestly perfect for her.

Kat convinced us all to grab outfits for a night out. Even if I'd mostly be wearing my bikini I figured it couldn't hurt. They had talked about a ton of bars and hot spots along the shore.

Usually, I wasn't the dress type but I found a cute wrap dress while Ellie found a sundress. Once we all had a few outfits, we finally were able to drag Kat out of the mall.

"We need to stop for the necessities. I don't have any sunblock at home, only the baby kind," Ellie admitted. Ezra took a pit stop at a department store and we all went inside. We didn't waste time filling the cart full of essentials for all of us.

"I'm starving, are we stopping for food?" I demanded as we got back in. Shopping always made me grumpy and Kat rolled her eyes at my dramatics.

"You're always hungry," Ezra called out halfheartedly. He was just as exhausted as I was and quickly found a restaurant.
