“The guys, Bill… Bill called me doll… T-the guys took him out to the p-parking lot… he called me doll,” she said as a knot formed in her throat.

Kade let out a string of curse words that were quickly muffled by the sound of several bikes starting up. He was coming, and by the sounds of it, so was the entire MC.

A sound behind her made her spin around but before she could scream, she was silenced by a large hand covering her mouth, causing her to drop her phone as she was grabbed by the other large hand and dragged toward a black truck with red paint on the bumper.

TWENTY-THREE

KADE

“Remi!” he roared.

What the fuck happened? Why had the line gone dead? Steele was riding next to him as they raced through the streets at illegal speeds. Talon, Faust, Storm, Gabriel, Doc, Bear, and several other members of the MC were following them while a dozen men hung back at the compound to keep everything safe and secure there.

“Remi!” he called out again.

No response. Then he heard the sound of squealing tires, making his entire body feel like it was going to explode. Shifting into another gear, he sped up even more. As they pulled into the parking lot of The Hangout, he saw Ink and Breaker holding Bill against the side of the MC van with his hands behind his back. Jumping off his bike, he threw down the kickstand and stomped over to the three men.

“Where’s Remi?” he demanded.

Breaker nodded toward the bar. “She’s inside.”

He started running toward the entrance. “Hold him!”

Before he could even get to the front door, one of the kitchen staff came running out. “Kade, she’s gone! Someone grabbed her in the alley.”

“What the fuck was she doing in the alley?” he shouted.

The cook looked terrified, but Kade didn’t care. The only thing he cared about was finding out where the hell his girl was.

“I don’t know. She had her phone, and I guess she stepped out there because of how loud the bar was.”

Steele and the rest of the men started cursing as Kade ran around the building to the alley and immediately saw her phone on the ground.

“Fuck!”

“Her tracker. You put them in her shoes, right?” Storm asked.

Oh, thank fuck! He nodded as the men all started pulling up the tracking app on their phones. All the Littles that belonged to someone in the MC had trackers placed in various places, so they always had one on them. Kade had put GPS trackers under the soles of her boots.

“She’s still moving. They just turned down Castle Road.”

Everyone ran back to their bikes and started the engines without saying anything else.

“Hold him until we say otherwise. Take him to the compound,” Steele barked at the prospects who were still holding onto Bill.

The men nodded, with matching looks of regret and anger on their faces.

Placing his phone in the phone mount on his bike, he kept the GPS tracker map on and started racing toward his girl.

It only took a few minutes before they were within a mile of the truck on a two-way highway. Revving his engine, Kade sped up until he saw the tailgate of a black truck with red paint on the bumper. It was driving wildly and as he got closer, he could see movement in the truck.

The driver of the truck must have heard them approaching because they started speeding faster. Not wanting to cause the driver to get into an accident and potentially hurt Remi, Kade kept his distance as he continued to follow them with Steele right beside him.

Kade realized the movement in the cab was Remi hitting the driver. That was his girl. Strong and feisty. And once he got her back in his arms, he would make sure she knew how goddamn proud he was that she fought back. They just needed to stop the truck first without harming his girl.

He pressed the call button on his phone to dial Steele, who picked up immediately.

“What’s the plan?” Steele asked.
