CHAPTER THREE

“Wait! There’s been a mistake. Wait… just put me down.” I squealed as the man under me continued to walk deeper into the large house, turning down corridors and closing doors that I’ve never seen before.

“Stop it Farrah.” He grunted out.

“No, you don’t understand. This is wrong!” I screamed again. As the blood continued to rush to my head an intense wave of nausea hit me as well. “Down. Put me down.” I begged through my teeth.

“I don’t have time for this nonsense. Either you shut the hell up or I’m going to fucking gag you. I’m not one of these little boys that gets a whiff of your pussy and falls down to their knees. You know what you signed up for.” He spat out and at once I realized this was in no way some sort of game. If it was, they'd have taken things way too far.

“Please just listen to me!” I cried but all I got in response was a sharp swat on my ass. Hard enough to make me hiss out in pain and stiffen against his shoulder.

“I’m not going to tell you again. Stop the shit, Farrah.”

No, no, no, this can’t be happening. What did I get myself into and how do I get myself out? I stayed quiet for a few moments trying to will my already intoxicated mind to stop swirling and focus on the problem at hand. I had to tell him the truth. I hated to do it because I was sure that there would be some blow back to Farrah but I can’t help but think that she knew all about what was going to happen here tonight. She’d set me up.

Again.

“Listen to me, You’re making a mistake. I’m not Farrah, I’m Faye. I’m her sister! You’re making a mistake. Please stop!” I screamed at the top of my lungs.

All at once I felt my body being pitched forward and my back hit the edge of a row of stairs. My elbow smarted as I banged my funny bone right on the edge. I squinted my eyes shut for a second trying to stifle the pain that was rushing through my body but when I opened them again, fear quickly took the place of pain.

Cold hard glinting steel with a round hollow barrel was pointed directly at my face. He was holding me at gunpoint. “Pl…ple..oh god.” I whispered, too scared to move even an inch.

“Farrah, I told you what your choices were. You’ve done all the blood tests, and the family has pardoned all your wrong doings so if you think you have any shot at backing out of this deal you’re out of your mind. I’m only supposed to knock you up, I don’t have to be nice to you while I do it. Remember that as you continue to test my fucking patience.”

I don’t know if it’s because of the alcohol that I drank or the Valium in my system but instead of focusing on the gun in his hand I began to focus on the heavy scent coming off him. With him being so close to me it was impossible for me not to get a good whiff.

The man smelled like fresh cigar smoke and honey. Warmth. It was intoxicating but also reeked of danger. Everything inside of me knew that I should be trying to run away but the scent and the gun pointed at my head kept me as compliant as a puppy.

His dark eyes bore into mine once again and this time since he was so close I could tell that his eyes weren’t just black but instead a deep charcoal color with specks of lighter gray flicked throughout. I wondered what he would look like in natural light. Wondered if those eyes would sparkle in the sunlight.

He didn’t give me a chance to wonder for very long. A moment later he grabbed me from the stairs and flung me back over his shoulder. The few self defense classes that I’d taken over the years didn’t prepare me for anything like this. I turned my head from side to side and even in the upside down position I tried to remember as much about my surroundings as possible. Everything was moving in a blur. My eyes filled with tears as I turned my head to the side and saw what looked like a full case of guns just on display against one of the walls. What kind of people lived here? What the hell kind of mess was my sister mixed up in.

The sound of a door being kicked up gathered my attention. We’d left the dark, mood lit hallway and entered a large room with gray marble flooring. Dark gray veins colored the stone and it reminded me of the man’s eyes.

From my upside down position I could see a fireplace, a dry bar, a desk and a large painting of what looked like a naked man wrapped in sharp vines. It was quite disturbing actually.

My stomach lurched back up into my throat as the man swung me down onto a large bed.

“No. Stop! You have to listen to me!” I ordered him again and just like before he didn’t.

“Don’t play chaste now Farrah. We all know you’ve been run through by nearly all my men. The time to try and renegotiate was yesterday. It’s too late for you now.” He smirked at me again and I watched in complete shock as the man in front of me began to peel off his suit jacket and tie.

Instead of screaming for help my traitorous body pulsed with need as I watched him open the buttons on his shirt one by one to display a colorful, tatted, muscular body. I’d never in my life seen a man that looked like him.

He put even some of the world's superstars to shame. I blinked a few seconds trying to rid the ridiculous hormones that chose right now to rush to the surface. “You can’t do this. I’m not Farrah. I’m her sister. You’re making a mistake.” I said once more as I scooted backward on the large bed trying to get away from the man making his way to me.

“You can be whatever you want. It doesn’t matter to me. Either way, I’m going to get what I need from you no matter how long it takes me to get it.”

Those dark eyes somehow got even darker and any ounce of warmth I felt coming from his body has turned ice cold.

He crawled up onto the bed and using my ankle pulled me down so I was under him. I fought with all the strength I had but with him being so much larger than me I didn’t do much damage. Only when I brought my mouth down on to his shoulder and bit down hard did he take notice. His roar of pain followed the flow of blood that burst across my tongue.

“You fucking bitch! I should’ve killed you when I had the chance!”

Pain sliced through my head as the man on top of me grabbed my perfectly curled hair and flipped me over on the bed so that my front was pressed down and my back side was facing up.

“You’re going to learn your place.” He snarled above me as he placed his large hand at the back of my neck to hold me down. The sound of leather being ripped from fabric was the only warning I had for what would take place next.
