The cold wind and rain whipping around my head felt like tiny needles of ice pricking into my skin. It was too cold to be out here in this shit on my bike but I didn't care. Sometimes no matter the weather or circumstance only a ride on a motorcycle would clear my head.

And tonight I wanted my head clear.

I'd waited weeks to see Sasha, giving us both ample time to think through what we wanted. And I still wasn't sure what I had planned was the right thing. But I wanted it, and as often as I'd let my duty to the club and my role as its president color my decisions, this one I couldn't let go.

Tonight she would be mine.

I couldn't predict the future and what that might hold. Nor did I want to. For the first time in years, I simply wanted to follow this feeling until it crashed and burned.

I'd listened to my brothers talk about what she was doing for the Double D and seen the cash receipts as well with little surprise. Hiring her had been the smartest decision I'd made in a long time.

But it wasn't enough.

Tonight I'd finished the last of the negotiations that would finally bring my club into the light.

As I turned into the parking lot and killed my engine, I imagined her lips on mine once again. That memory had burned inside me to the point it was ingrained. And despite the effort I'd taken to keep my distance, I'd known from the beginning it would lead to this.

Thank fuck I kept a change of clothes in my office. These were soaked through and stuck to my skin. I needed to get cleaned up before I confronted Sasha. My body tightened with the anticipation of seeing her as I pulled open the door to The Diamond.

And stepped into complete chaos.

The music in here was always loud, but tonight it was down right ear splitting. A few of the tables around the club were occupied, but there was one at center stage that was surrounded by people and my stomach tightened with a sense of deja vu.

At the center of that was Sasha. I could see her bouncing up and down from across the room. I strained to get a better look as I realized she was grinding on some guy’s dick while he leered at her with his fingers wrapped up in her beautiful blonde hair.

Brutal possessiveness exploded in my mind as anger took over my rational self. I was going to kill him. And then...

I sucked in a breath. What was I going to do? She was allowing another man to touch her after I'd left explicit instructions that under no circumstances would she give lap dances or any other private activities.

While I worked to breathe through clenched teeth, I began to take in the rest of my surroundings in order to control the emotions threatening to consume me.

My first clue that something was really wrong came from the fact that the stage stood empty, which should never occur. Bruce and I had gone over the expectations and I wanted someone up there at all times.

I searched the room for my manager and spotted his blond hair nearby the overcrowded table. Anger surged through me as he stood there, clearly allowing whatever shit this was to continue and the club to go off the rails while he watched.

"JD, we've got a problem." Tel appeared by my side, nudging me into the shadow of the door.

"I can see that. What the fuck is happening? Why is Sasha working the floor?"

"The nomads. And she's in the thick of it."

"Those fuckers. What the hell does that mean? They should have learned their lesson. I guess it's time to show them I don't give second chances." I surged forward and Tel grabbed my arm to stop me.

"Wait. That's not all. I've called for backup." He held up his phone. "The other brothers are on their way. We need to wait for them."

"The fuck we will. This is our fucking club."

"They've got guns on everyone," he said in a low tone. "And they look twitchy as hell. Probably tweaked out of their minds. How else would they be bold enough to pull this shit?"

That news kicked my mind into gear as I went to work on what it would take to fix this. "We need to clear the club. I don't want any witnesses or any innocents getting hurt."

"I've gotten some of them out. But as soon as the nomads get eyes on us they might freak out."

I nodded, my jaw tightly clenched as my mind began working through possible scenarios and outcomes. There were a lot of moving parts and not enough firepower on our side for my comfort.

"Where the hell is our security? This shouldn't be possible. I thought we had this worked out after the last incident."
