Tel shook his head. "I found one out back with his throat slit. The other two are still missing. I think they got to Bruce. It's the only thing that makes sense."

The blood in my veins turned to ice. That one act had solidified the outcome of this situation. These men weren't walking away alive. Not a single one of them. And if they hurt one hair on Sasha's head I was going to peel the skin from their bodies while they screamed.

"Tell the brothers they've got thirty seconds. The only back up I need is in my office and I'm not waiting for them to kill someone before I fix this."

"But, boss--"

I cut Tel off by walking away. My woman had a gun on her. My own manager had betrayed me. And who knew who else might be involved. Either way, I'd had enough.

It took me great effort not to slam my door closed behind me as I stalked through my office to the hidden panel safe. It took me seconds to get it open so I could pull out some of the extra weapons I had stored there. Besides the piece I kept strapped to my leg at all times, I put a knife in each boot, another gun at my back and carried the last in my right hand as well as my big ugly K-bar in my left.

That knife had a way of doing quite a bit of damage and I practically jumped for joy at the idea of it. As it turned out, there were some things I couldn't wipe clean from me or the club. I could stop us from shuttling drugs for the mafia and selling weapons to the Canadians, but my thirst for vengeance would never go away.

Tell was waiting outside my door where he didn't bother to question or stop me as I strode past. This was not happening again.

Luckily, my girl was such a good dancer that she had all of the idiots riveted as I crept towards them with Tel still at my back. I didn't know how far away the rest of my men were, but I had faith it wouldn't be long.

My step faltered when the man getting a lap dance from Sasha groaned. The green-eyed monster raged through me with every step I took closer. It was easy to tell she wasn't enjoying it, but the idea of him touching her made me want to cut off his fingers one at a time while he begged for his life.

If I'd come back sooner this wouldn't have happened. This was my fault as much as the fucker sitting underneath her. And still, I was going to kill him for this.

And it wasn't going to be painless or quick.

The moment I caught movement at the side door from the corner of my eye I moved. I couldn't watch his hands on her for a second more. And these idiots weren't paying attention to anything but the show.

How they'd gotten through my security pissed me off more. Fucking fuckers.

I was halfway through the crowd before the first nomad noticed me and when he tried to draw on me, I swiped my knife across his throat and dropped him quietly to the ground.

Unfortunately, that had a snowball effect as the others slowly turned my way. But none were quick enough to get me before I pressed the muzzle of my gun to the dirty asshole sitting in a chair pointing a gun at Sasha.

"Drop it or I drop you. As much as I hate to ruin my carpet with the gore from your head, I'll do it, and long before you can pull that trigger," I growled harshly.

"Then I'll kill her."

I didn't hesitate as I heard my club brothers behind me. I arced my knife upwards and drove it into the man's back to the hilt at the same time knocking his gun out of the way with a vicious blow from the butt of my gun.

I heard screams coming from every direction, but it was the sound of the gun going off that nearly stopped my heart. Blood splattered across Sasha as she fell to the ground, but I'd done my job and knocked his arm wide.

In that second I was thrown back to the past and another woman covered in blood as she stared up at me with blank, lifeless eyes. She'd needed me to save her, but instead my love had cost her everything.

Pain stabbed into me all over again as the memory of that night rushed forward, causing me to roar in a fresh bout of grief like I hadn't felt in years. It burned in my blood and threatened to paralyze me.

"JD!" Sasha screamed, giving me just enough warning to knock my mind free and allow me to jab my elbow into the man trying to mow me down. I raised my gun but Axel slammed the butt of his gun into the back of the guy’s skull and he crumpled to the ground.

Blood and bullets were flying as my guys did what they did best, allowing me to dive and cover Sasha as best I could. I rolled us out of the way of what might be any remaining line of fire, and did my best to block her.

"All clear!" someone yelled a moment later, and only then did I take a breath and raise my head to check on her.

"Are you okay?"

Her eyes were wide with fear, but she managed to nod her head.

Before I could say or do anything else, Axel began issuing orders and making sure these guys were removed from the scene within minutes. These were always the moments that reminded me why the hell he was the Wrath VP.

In times of duress, he had clear eyes and an even clearer head, and he knew precisely what I wanted without me having to say a word.

"Can you get up? You're crushing me."
