Eventually, his mouth left me, and the pillow lifted off my face. I didn’t open my eyes. I had no energy left for even that simple task.

A fingertip traced over my cheek and eyebrow.

“Did you like that, Andie?” he asked quietly.

“So much,” I managed. “Tired.”

His arms slipped around me.

“Sleep. You can eat later,” he said.

My stomach woke me.I couldn’t hear it rumbling but felt its demand for food, even in my sleep. However, my gnawing hunger faded to the background at the slow stroking of Molev’s hand over my bare hip.

And thoughts of what we’d done before I’d fallen asleep drifted in. My hands gripping him... My mouth barely taking the tip of his massive shaft… The explosion in my mouth and his relentless hunger that followed.

Obviously, that hunger hadn’t yet been appeased. The pressure and drag of his palm spoke his thoughts without words. But, no matter how enjoyable that was, we couldn’t indulge in our baser desires whenever and however. We needed to have some measure of focus.

“What time is it?” I mumbled.

“Almost sunrise.” His touch changed from the firm contact of his hand to the light sweep of his fingers. “Are you hungry for food?”

“Very. Will you let me out of this bed so I can feed myself, or will you consider that a retreat?”

My stomach growled more insistently, and he sighed.

“I can hear your hunger and wish I would have fed you last night so I could feast now.”

I rolled toward him, dislodging his touch. His palm trailed over my stomach.

“Maybe next time you’ll be better prepared. Is it someone else’s turn to make breakfast?”

His gaze swept my face, and he shook his head.

“No, I will make it. Shower and get dressed. After, we will speak with Waurlyn.”

When I arrived in the kitchen fifteen minutes later, he had a feast started. French toast—the regular kind—with maple syrup, a mountain of sausages in the oven, and an extra-large pan of scrambled eggs.

“Sit,” he said.

I did and watched him move around the kitchen for a moment. He was so easy on the eyes that it was mind-numbing.

“How are we going to approach Waurlyn today?” I asked.

“At the hospital. I’ve already asked our neighbors to request that she meet us there.”

I chuckled a little. “I meant, how are we going to ease into the topic of you wanting to return to your people? If we don’t approach it carefully, she might have a knee-jerk reaction and try to keep you here.”

“Waurlyn likes trades and needs hope. I will give her both.”

“Is this one of those ‘I need to trust you’ tests? Because I do. I was just curious.”

He glanced back at me, and something shifted in his gaze. He set aside the spatula and came to me, sliding his fingers into my hair.

“You distract me, Andie. I crave you in many ways. The taste of your pussy on my tongue. Your smile. Your humor. Your trust. I want all of you all at once. Forever. My need for that steals my breath and robs me of thought. And when you give me these little samples of what it will be like when you finally surrender everything to me, it solidifies my determination to do whatever is necessary to see my dream become my reality.”

His words and the raw emotion behind them wrapped around me, pulling me back to that moment in the shower when I’d fallen to my knees for him. I’d enjoyed myself without reservation, and when I’d woken this morning, I’d told myself that was enough for now. But Molev’s message was clear. It would never be enough for him. He would be waiting for more, accepting it gladly when I gave it freely, and goading for extra whenever I hesitated.
