I hadn’t thought about kissing Molev because I hadn’t let myself. But now that I knew exactly what he wanted, I was curious what it would be like.I’d heard his savage cries and witnessed his brutal strength.Yet, he was so restrained.

Part of me feared what would happen when that tight control snapped.

A darker part of me wanted to see it happen….just not with me.

Before I could decide whether to lean in or turn away, he jerked back from me, his head whipping toward the direction of the base.

“Something is coming,” he said.

He picked me up and started running toward the base, passing under a drone before he reached the perimeter.

He didn’t even glance at it, but I did.A drone…a bugged house…guards outside the door…orders to stay put.The people in charge didn’t trust Molev, and I didn’t see how this would end well if that didn’t change.

The soldiers in the jeep on the other side of the fence were smart enough not to draw their weapons at our approach. They were a bit more reactive when Molev cleared the barrier and their heads in one impressive jump.

He landed lightly on the pavement and continued running even as the soldier yelled at him to stop.I tried to look over Molev’s shoulder, but he shifted me back into place, protectively shielded by his torso.

I looked up at him, seeing his actions through a new lens.He wasn’t protecting me to prove himself in our eyes or because he was a good person. He was protecting me because I meant something to him.

Molev didn’t put me down to open the door.He didn’t juggle me around, either. He simply one-armed my weight and let us in.

“Welcome back.Do anything fun other than upset your watchdogs?”Roland asked from his place by the front window.

Tires squealed outside, and he looked out.

“You aren’t exactly making friends, pulling these stunts, Molev,” he commented.

“I can walk now,” I said when Molev didn’t put me down.

He glanced at me and the others before reluctantly releasing me.

“He’s right,” I said.“You aren’t helping matters when you do that stuff. But, I understand they aren’t exactly being friendly either.”

I joined Katie on the couch and looked at the rest.“We went for a run outside the fence. We weren’t gone for more than what?Seven or eight minutes?Five minutes in, they sent a drone after us.Molev’s here willingly, yet he has guards and now a drone assigned to him.It makes me wonder what other monitoring might be going on in this pre-assigned house.”

Sid swore under his breath.

“Well, I’m not sure about the rest of you, but I’m not going to be able to enjoy my intimate time with myself until I know for sure,” Steve said, standing.“I’m starting with my room.”

“Our room,” Roland said.“And no touching yourself when you’re in it.”

“I guess I could touch you, but you have to promise to touch me back,” Steve said with a smirk.

“Touch me and get a boot up your ass,” Roland said, moving to follow Steve.

“Keep your kink to yourselves,” Brandon called.

“Kink and cameras go hand in hand,” Roni said, turning over the toaster in the kitchen.

They spread out, looking for devices and giving Molev the perfect cover he needed to find stuff without being overly obvious.

Before I could ask if he wanted to help me look, a shout came from the bedrooms.

“Son of a bitch. You were right,” Steve shouted.

After that, we all looked and found something.Hints from Molev weren’t necessary. We removed each device, bagged them up, and set them outside like trash.

“That’s probably not going to go over well,” I said after the door closed.
