“Untie me; I want to touch you.” The tie is ripped from my hands. The blindfold removed. It’s like he releases an animal. I’m up and on him, forcing him back into the bed. I hold his arms down against the bed and kiss him. Taste him. I rub myself up his length before lifting myself and pushing down so intensely that we both moan in pleasure. I lift up and grind. I kiss his mouth and bite his lips. I suck his nipples and nip them between my teeth. His moans and facial expression encourage me to work harder to give us both the most intense pleasure. It builds between us. The joining of our bodies is tight, hot, and wet, and I never want to break this connection. It builds and builds. Both our bodies thrust and shake uncontrollably. He slaps my bum and holds my hips down as he uses the last of his energy to intensify our orgasms. A scream I have no control over leaves my throat. Leo's eyes never leave mine. I know in that moment I belong to him. There’s nothing I can do to stop it. My body is his. He has claimed me.

The next day I go to the beach to gather my thoughts. I feel incredible. Every inch of my body aches with love. We spent all last night getting to know and loving every part of each other’s body. There’s not one scar or freckle on Leo’s body that I haven’t kissed.

“Hey, what are you looking happy about?” Emmaline comes and sits next to me on the blanket I have laid out on the sand.

“Oh, nothing, really.”

“How are you all?”

“We are all good, thanks to your fiancé. I owe him so much, which is a little scary considering he is who he is.”

“Don’t worry, Leo doesn’t hold that kind of debt against people.” Emmaline smiles and nods, but neither of us speaks again for a while. We both know what kind of debt Leo does hold against people and what he does to those people when he collects. We watch Alfie and Macy dog play on the shore. Macy's white fur looking more brown from rolling around in the wet sand, Alfie chuckling away at the puppy’s mischief. Emmaline and I make small talk until I hear my name being called in the distance. At first, I don’t recognise the voice, so I ignore it thinking there must be another Katie on the beach, but as it gets louder, the prickles on the back of my neck have me searching for where the sound comes from. A large male figure walks towards us, waving his hands.

“Katie!” The man booms. He’s so loud most of the beach looks at him. Although I can't quite make out his face, I recognise the swagger in his walk. Jax. What the hell is he doing here?

Chapter 19

Katie

“Do you know that guy? Katie?” My jaw drops open, he was the very last person I expected to see on his beach. A hundred things run through my mind. What is he doing here? When did he get out of prison? How did he know where I was? Was he looking for me? Oh God, what will Leo do if he sees me talking to him?

“Umm, sorry, Emmaline, I’m just a little shocked. Yes, I do know him. It’s my ex-boyfriend.”

“Ohh, tricky; I’ll leave you to it.” Emmaline leaves just as Jax approaches.

“Katie!” Jax wraps his arms around me. I don’t hug him back, so he releases.

“What are you doing here, Jax?”

“Well, that’s not the reaction I was expecting; I was released from prison a few days ago. I went looking for you but was told you’d gone on holiday. So here I am.” He opens his arms with a big cheesy grin like I should just melt into his arms.

“Why didn’t you ring?”

“I wanted to surprise my girl.” Oh god, he doesn’t think we are still together, does he?

“Jax, I didn’t know what was happening or what had happened to you. I didn’t know if I would ever see you again.”

“I didn’t know what was happening either. I’m sorry, babe. I should have rung, but all I could think of was seeing your face.” He strokes my cheek. “I was framed, babe. They finally saw sense and let me go. All I have thought about is you. I can’t believe I’m finally here with you. I’ve missed you so much.” Guilt grips my stomach. He goes to hold my hand, but I pull away. He has been in prison all this time for something he hasn’t done. He thought his girlfriend was waiting for him on the outside, but instead, I was here with Leo.

Jax is a typically attractive man. But he does nothing for me anymore. Not like the tingles I get from Leo just from hearing my name.

“Katherine!” there they are; it’s like my skin physically hears him. Oh, dear. I’m scared for Jax. I turn to meet him.

“Leo, Hi.”

One of his spies has obviously alerted him to Jax’s presence.

Both Leo and Jax are similar in height and build, but I know Leo will kill Jax in one swift movement.

“This a friend of mine, Jax.” I gesture to Jax.

“Friend?” Jax questions.

“Jaxon Adams?” Leo questions. I shouldn’t be surprised that Leo knows who he is, but I am.

“Guerra,” Jax replies. Ok, do they know each other? Both men puff out their chests and shoulders. Both their stares could kill.

“We are leaving, Katherine.” Leo beckons. Jax looks at me in question.
