“I’m sorry. Do you want to punch me? I think I deserve it.”

“I wouldn’t want Harmony mad at me when you have a black eye tomorrow,” I tease.

“I’m sorry, too,” Riley says. “Dad teased you more than us, but I should have realized he crossed the line from teasing to bullying.”

“I wish he were still alive so we could punch him,” Brody says.

Warmth spreads through my chest. I always assumed Riley and Brody were oblivious to how Dad acted with me, but it’s nice to have my assumptions confirmed.

“Thanks,” I grumble.

“You good now?” Elder asks.

“Or do you need a Bragg brother hug?”

I scowl at Brody. “I don’t need a fucking hug.”

Elder grins. “He’s good. But enough of this keeping shit from us.” He bumps my shoulder. “We’re brothers. When one of us hurts, the rest of us tear the world down to destroy anyone who dared mess with a Bragg.”

Riley, Brody, and Peace nod in agreement.

Shit. “I should have said something sooner.”

“Yep.” Elder nods. “Enough of this touchy-feely stuff. Let’s figure out what we’re going to do about the brewery expansion.”

I’m confused. “What do you mean?”

He rolls his eyes. “You can’t get Eden back if we continue with the expansion.”

“Eden won’t take me back.”

My heart squeezes as I remember the devastated expression on her face when she realized I’d misled her about the brewery expansion. Considering her history with her dad, she won’t give me a second chance. But I can’t tell my brothers about her dad. Eden doesn’t want anyone knowing.

“You can’t give up,” Riley pushes. “If I had given up, I wouldn’t have Moon now.”

I cock an eyebrow. Seriously? He gave up on her twice before he finally managed to get his head screwed on the right way.

“Moon loves you.”

“And Eden loves you.”

Hope fills me at Riley’s words. Does Eden love me? Will she take me back if I don’t go through with the expansion of the brewery?

Fuck. I should have told her I didn’t want to continue with the expansion when she confronted me. Eden is more important than proving anything to my dad. I don’t need to prove anything to him anyway. Eden told me so but I needed my brothers behind me. Needed to know they didn’t realize how bad he treated me.

I stand. I’ll go tell her now.

“Hold on, lover boy.” Elder stops me. “We need a plan.”

“A plan?” I don’t need a stupid plan. I’ll tell Eden I’m not going through with the expansion and she’ll forgive me. Except. She was pretty pissed at me.

Shit. I need a plan.

“What do you have in mind?”

“You should do a grand gesture.”

Peace groans. “No more grand gestures.”
