Not in places I can see but I’m happy to check if she’s wet in other places I became intimately acquainted with last night. I step closer.

She holds up a hand to stop me. “Control yourself, grumpykins.”

I growl. “I know for a fact you like my grumpy ass.”

“Men,” she mutters. “I was doing yoga.”

I rear back in surprise at her answer. “Naked?”

“I think we already established the whole naked thing.”

My cock perks up.Now?No, calm down. “Why do you do yoga naked at home?”

“What choice do I have? Cayenne stopped the naked yoga classes atEarth Blissafter a tourist ended up with a bloody nose.”

“How did he…” I cut myself off. I don’t want to know. “Never mind.”

“But Olivia took over Cayenne’s business. Maybe she’ll restart the naked yoga classes. I’ll have to ask her.”

“Peace isn’t going to allow Olivia to teach naked yoga classes.”

She giggles. “Allow? As if Peace can stop Olivia from doing anything. Besides, he’s a native of Winter Falls. He’ll understand.”

I disagree, but I’m done talking about my half-brother. “We’ve got things to discuss.”

She sighs. “Is this about the note? I thought a note was better than a text message. Was I wrong?”

More than wrong. I scowl. “Why did you leave my bed?”

Her nose scrunches. “Why not? We were done.”

I growl as I prowl toward her until her back hits the wall. I box her in with my hands next to her head and lean in close. “We weren’t done.”

She pats my chest. “Don’t worry. You fulfilled your end of the bargain. I returned home completely and utterly satisfied this morning.”

I smirk. “I know you were satisfied. It was obvious when you screamed my name in bliss.”

Her eyes narrow at me. “I didn’t scream your name in bliss.”

“Shout my name. Same thing.”

“Scream, shout, whatever other synonym you can come up with is irrelevant, it didn’t happen. I’m not a screamer.”

I tug on a strand of her purple hair. “There’s no reason to be ashamed.”

“I am not ashamed. But you’re a liar.”

I open my mouth to argue with her before I realize what she’s doing. She’s distracting me from the actual topic of conversation. Clever girl.

“Why did you leave my bed this morning?”

“I told you. We were done. Did you forget what I said already? It’s been less than a minute. Are you becoming forgetful in your old age?”

“I’m not old. I’m barely two years older than you,” I grumble.

“For the record, let me state my answer clearly. I was done, so it was time to come home.”

She was done? I grit my teeth. “You couldn’t have woken me to let me know you were going and given me a chance to walk you home?”
