“I’m having their steak dinner,” Simon says from beside Seth. “What are you guys having?”

“Same,” says Oliver. “I’ll see what their portions are like before ordering a second plate.”

“You guys have been starving for a long time,” I say, feeling sorry for them. “And, I drove that waitress away.”

“Don’t worry,” says Simon. “They’ll send someone to our table soon. Just decide what you want until then, so we won’t have to wait too long.”

I nod, glancing down at the menu.

A new host appears at our table. Dressed in an impressive black suit, the middle-aged man looks around at us. “May I take your orders?”

The guy looks like the restaurant’s manager. I can’t help but chuckle quietly. The poor waitress probably didn’t know what to do about Oliver’s request, so she sent him our way.

I quickly look through the menu and decide to order myself a steak as well along with appetizers like crabcakes and barbecued wings. Dad loves their home-brewed beers, so I order some for all of us.

“We should do this more often,” Oliver says after a while.

“What do you mean?”

“This,” he says, gesturing around the place. “You were never an introvert, were you? You used to enjoy hanging out at parties and being social.”

“You’re right about that. I loved shopping and partying with my friends. These days, though, I haven’t felt like going anywhere. The cottage is quiet and peaceful and it’s nicer to spend my time painting. That’s what makes me feel good these days.”

“I’m glad you feel at home with us,” Seth says, still holding onto my hand.

“How are you feeling right now?” Simon asks. “Are you feeling uncomfortable being in a crowded restaurant like this one?”

I pause to consider his question.

“No,” I say slowly. “I’m actually enjoying myself. Even after my mom passed away, my dad and I would still come here during the weekends. This restaurant is one of the oldest establishments in this town and people love coming here, so it’s always crowded like this. Rather than feeling uncomfortable, it feels like being home.”

“You should let us bring you here more often,” Seth says, squeezing my hand.

“I’d love that!” I reply as happiness washes over me.

Soon, our dishes arrive, filling the table before us.

The smell of the hot, freshly-prepared wings wafts into my nostrils, making my mouth water. Without waiting for anyone, I grab one with my bare hands.

“Wow, these are good,” Simon says, chewing through a whole crabcake.

“Don’t talk with food in your mouth,” Seth mutters. “It’s disgusting.”

“Is it?” Simon says, bringing his face closer to Seth and chomping hard. “Am I disgusting, Captain Seth-bear?”

An annoyed expression comes over Seth. “Stop it!” he hisses. “People are staring.”

Simon continues to annoy him, making both me and Oliver chuckle.

The food at The Loaded Fork is scrumptious. I’m eating almost as much as my mates and enjoying every bite.

It feels amazing to see Seth and his brothers enjoying the food as well. They laugh and tease each other, making me chuckle and giggle with them.

A sudden need to protect the three men before me crashes through me. It’s a fierce emotion that takes root in my heart, erasing my fears and insecurities.

Even though I promised myself to never fall in love with an alpha again, I lost my heart to these three men.

I love Seth, Oliver, and Simon so, so much at this moment.
