He smiled shyly, which didn’t fit him at all. “Yeah. Less that.”

“Noah,” I said, making him face me. “This stuff, like this… it’s… it’s why I fell for you. Your ex and mine, man, we got some bad eggs, sure, but maybe this is our… reward?”

“I like that.”

“Me too. I swear, I’ll never cheat on you. I’ll never… I don’t know, gamble and I sure as fuck won’t kill myself. I know we have issues from our past to overcome, but together, we can.”

Noah kissed me, and while we kissed, I felt the tears on his cheeks, rubbing off on mine. After the kiss was finished, he took me into the living room. That picture on the mantel, the one with him and his husband, he took it down and held it for a minute. “He had his good points. I don’t want to just speak ill of him. But… it was bad too.”

I took the picture and placed it in the catch-all drawer, as Noah called it, promising, “We’ll revisit where you want this later. Right now, let’s go outside and have our night on the porch, and maybe we’ll have Joel come again to help tomorrow. Call him, and then we won’t be so tired tomorrow night, and…”

“And I can take you.”

“You can take me.”

The morning came and Noah was determined to make sure I knew I’d been properly claimed. I woke to being kissed. The tickle of Noah’s beard on my lips had me scratching until I was fully awake.

“Morning, you little cock whore,” he growled on my lips.

I melted into the bed, but I was awake, and so was my dick. “I’ve got a lot to do today. Joel will be here in an hour, and that gives us enough time to get ready for the day.”

“Yes, Sir.”

“Good boy,” he said as he moved off the bed.

He was already fully dressed, and I smelled coffee. No matter how much I tried to wake before him, he always beat me to it. And come to find out, he’d been up for a while. I hurried to dress and get to the kitchen, where I saw a light breakfast of fruit and toast.

What I reached for, however, was the coffee. “This is much appreciated,” I told him as I wrapped my chilly hands around the mug.

Noah had a piece of paper in his hands and before he set it on the counter, he cautioned, “I know you had a bad time with this with the last asshole. I’m hoping it’s all there, everything we talked about, and I hope I can be what you need.”

He was almost shrinking in on himself as he said it, but his eyes met mine and I saw how scared he was about it. I knew what it was by the things he’d said, but that didn’t stop me from wondering what he meant. “You already are everything I need, Noah. You’re…”

“No, that’s not what I mean. I never done this all the time thing. I never had a man that was with me here, living and working with me. Most folks that do that, well, they end up fighting a lot, and that can’t be us. So, I’ve put some things in here, things that might help us out in that department. Like I already said, Eli, this is fluid, and it’s not the end-all, be-all either. It’s simple, just the basics, and we talk about the rest.”

“That’s exactly what I want, Noah. Our promises, they… let me see it.”

He set the paper on the counter and slid it over to me. “Eat while you read. We don’t have a ton of time before Joel gets here.”

As he leaned on his hands that were flat on the counter, Eli saw his trepidation. That made me nervous. For once, though, I wanted to be the strong one for him. “Okay, Noah.”

I set a hand over his before taking the paper in the other hand, and I smiled inwardly, as it was indeed our written contract.

I took a piece of banana after setting the paper down so I could eat and read, like he wanted. “This looks great, Noah.”

“I downloaded a template,” he confessed with nervous laughter. “Like I said, I’ve never done one of these.”

“That’s great, Noah, and this looks perfect.”

On it was Noah’s pledge to be the dominant at all times of the day and night, our lists of limits, hard and soft, but Noah added that he’d push me past them all, if it was agreed upon. It was.

It was a service contract, but much different from Harvey’s. In it, Noah stated the chores would be divided equally as far as the ranch and home were concerned. Service was strictly of mine to Noah.

I was choked up at reading that part of it. “Noah…”

“You are never some houseboy that is just here for cleaning and shit. You’re beautiful, but you’re more than that to me.”

“I knew that already, Noah, but this?”
