“I’m…so nervous they’re gonna hate me.”
He looked at the table where Beast and his boys were seated, all eyes glued to the stage. “They’re going to be happy you’re close. Go.”
Brett got to the microphone and started to unzip his hood as he said, “Gentlemen, I have something I want to say, mostly to a group of guys that…are here.”
Before he could get out more, Bennett stood and hollered, “Brett?”
Ryan got tense then, as it was one thing for people to know Brett’s name. He wasn’t the one that was supposedly dead. If anyone said Ryan’s, however…
Brett pulled off his mask, and Bennett ran for the stage, jumping up and tackling Brett to the floor. His boyfriends soon followed, and Ryan growled, “You need your aftercare. This could take forever.” He asked Burke, “Can we maybe do this announcement thing later?”
“Of course, whenever you’re ready. Joel found some boys to play with until Beast and his boys are free.”
They got me to the room, and Ryan and Theo fussed over me as Burke looked on, the worrier making sure they took good care of me. “I’m fine, you all, please.”
I had cream slathered on my back, Theo kept shoving water in my face, and I got a lot of love, kisses, and hugs. There was a knock at the door, and Eli poked his head in. “Hey, everyone.”
Theo kissed his cheek and let him fully into the room. “Eli, would you tell him to be still and let us care for him?”
“I know how he feels, and so do you, Theo. He’s enjoying the pain and the attention.” He shook his head, laughing. “That was amazing, Hud. I had no idea you all were…switching things up like that. Theo never said a word.”
“We wanted it to be a surprise, duh,” Theo said before shoving the bottle of water at me.
“Don’t be fucking rude, Theo,” I growled at him, and he clucked his tongue.
“Sorry, Eli.”
“No, it’s okay. It was a great surprise. The guys on stage have a love fest instead of a fuck fest. But it’s nice to see.”
“They missed each other,” Ryan told him. “It’s been almost a year since Brett’s seen his friends.”
“Wow. Well, I’ll let you all be. I just wanted to come to see you all and ask if Hud or you, Sir, would tutor Noah on the whip. He wants to, but he worries.”
“Sure. Tell him to call Hud, and we’ll have a day of it.”
“Thanks! See you all soon.”
“I need to get with him this week and review the arrangements again. The caterer is having a fit at my menu, and much more needs to be done.”
Ryan suggested they all get together the following weekend, have dinner at the new house, and they can go over the whip and the wedding. Theo perked immediately. “I love that! Hud?”
“I’d love it too. Ryan and Brett have a full basement where Ryan and I could help Noah practice. It’ll be fun. We’ll have a housewarming party, kink style.”
“Oh! Perfect! I need to plan. What menu? We should invite everyone, so gifts! What do you need? Oh, what am I saying? You need everything.”
“Theo,” I said, grabbing his hand. “Calm down. You’re already planning a wedding. Let it be a nice, calm housewarming. Joel, Eli, you, and Brett can start on the wedding, and the rest of us can help Noah downstairs.”
“Fine. Not even one gift?”
“No,” Ryan said, laughing. “The gift can be your ass after everyone else leaves.”
“You’re on.”
We went to the floor after my shirt was replaced, sticking to my back with all the cream they’d applied. Brett was visiting Beast’s table with his friends, and Ryan sighed, “I should get over there. Please, tell me Brett told them not to say my name aloud.”
“I’m sure he did. Are we off duty, Sir?”
“Yes. You and Theo go have fun,” he said, then kissed me and picked Theo off the floor to plant one on him. Burke and Noah joined me at a table while Eli and Joel were over with Brett and all the boys, so Theo was told he could join them.
