“Hell, we know y’all’re kinky,” Joel confirmed, then stuffed a mini quiche in his mouth.

“Yes, we’re all in the lifestyle, thankfully,” Burke confirmed. There was just enough seating, and Theo had made sure the sofas faced each other with the big square coffee table in the center of the sitting area. Theo perched on my lap in the big chair and laughed at Joel stuffing his face.

“There’s more, Joel. No need to eat it all in three minutes,” Theo scolded with a smile.

“In fact, you’ll all take some home,” Brett said, explaining, “We were expecting Bennett and his partners, but they’re in Brazil.”

“Oh, I know it,” Joel said. “PJ sent me and Xen some pictures!”

“Ben sent some to me, too,” Brett said excitedly. “Isn’t it beautiful?”

“Sure is!”

“So, the elephant in the room,” Damon started, staring at Brett and Ryan. “What’s with the masks at the club, your new names? You don’t have to tell us, but if someone comes around looking, or whatever, we all, I promise, in this room, we’re on your side.”

Ryan looked to Brett and said, “We can tell them, just not the details about where we came from.”

Brett lit up and started to tell the group all about their predicament, and Joel stopped eating as he listened; Noah and Eli cuddled closer, and Burke looked at me, winking. I knew what he was thinking, that we knew, and he was glad he didn’t have to keep the details from his partners any longer.

“I’ll be got damned,” Joel whispered when Brett was finished. “Y’all was in prison?”

“We met there, but Ryan was only there to protect me, which he did.”

“I’ll be.”

Eli asked, “So, you’ll go by different names in public, but we can still call you Ryan and Brett? I don’t want to confuse you.”

“Ryan has no intention of going out much, despite the new names and paperwork. If anyone catches on and he’s caught, well…”

Noah boasted, “You came to the right place. Folks here keep to their own business. And if they don’t, I’ll handle ‘em.”

“Thank you, Noah,” Ryan said, sighing in relief. “It is the right place, I agree. Brett isn’t in trouble. He only changed his name on paper for me and to kill lingering questions of where he’s been.”

“Y’all has been fuckin’ a bunch of fellas. Ain’t no harm in it.”

Everyone laughed at Joel’s simple and sweet way of looking at it. I said, “Pretty much!”

“I happen to think it’s romantic,” Eli crooned, then was kissed tenderly by Noah.

“God, enough with the sugar, love birds. Of all of us, you’re the oldest couple outside Brett and Ryan!”

I cuddled Theo and said, “We’re the newest, so we get that prize for most sickening lovey-dovey stuff.”

Theo pushed at me. “I don’t do mushy,” he protested, then let him nuzzle his neck as he giggled.

“Damon and I aren’t new either,” Burke commented. “Just with Joel, we are.”

“And Ryan and I are having a dirty, totally romantic affair with Hud and Theo, so we’re technically new too.”

Damon scoffed, “It’s the wedding. They’ve been like this for weeks.”

“Speaking of which,” Theo started as I groaned to Damon. “We need more planning sessions, and I want Brett there. He told me of his wedding, and I think we should redo it. Real leather love, and really!”

“We’re fine with our wedding memories, thanks, Theo, but I will be there. I think planning a wedding that’s not ours would be fun. Less stressful.”

“Y’all might think that,” Joel groaned. “Theo makes it so.”

“Joel! I do not!”
