“Put a call out. I want them found. I want him hanging from the bridge before sunrise. I’m heading to The Rebellion now. Meet me there.” I disconnect and head straight for the clubhouse. I’ve never experienced the panic I have in my chest right now. I know Hulk has money. He could take her anywhere so they could start again together. My knuckles turn white as I grip the steering wheel harder.

I get to the clubhouse and the gates barely open before I drive through them at speed. The bikers standing outside having a smoke all look in my direction.

Ace steps out from amongst them and meets me as I get out the car. “It’s late. What are you doing here?”

“Where is he?” I growl, hardly able to contain my anger. Michael’s car screeches to a halt beside mine, and he steps out and joins me.

“You said we had until noon tomorrow to make our decision,” hisses Ace, squaring his shoulders.

“The deal is off the table,” I say with as much venom in my tone as I can muster. “I want my wife to return to me before sunrise or I’ll start tearing through this club.” Ace looks to Michael for an explanation, but he remains silent.

Tag appears over Ace’s shoulder, and his smile fades quickly when he senses the heat between us all. “What’s going on?”

“Hulk has Piper,” I grit out. “I need her back.”

“Man, Hulk isn’t here. We haven’t seen him since this morning,” says Tag. He steps up beside Ace and it narks me. He’s supposed to be my family, yet he’s standing shoulder to shoulder with the club President.

“There’s a war coming brother. You need to decide whose side you’re on. If Piper isn’t back with me by sunrise, things will get ugly.”

Tag looks uncomfortable. “I know it’s hard, boss, but be patient. Piper will cool off and come home. It isn't Ace’s fault that you two argued. Causing a war isn’t the answer.”

Lucy breezes over, and Tag sees the glint in my eye. Before he can reach her, I snatch her towards me and grip her tight around the waist. She lets out a scream, causing Ace to draw his gun and aim it towards me. “Well, let’s see, brother,”I spit out. “My wife for yours?” I back away from him.

“Shit, Anton, don’t do this.” Tag follows me, a pleading look in his eyes. Lucy hits my arms over and over, but I don’t feel it.

“Make a choice Ace. Your son or your daughter?” I force Lucy into the car. “Stay there or I’ll put a bullet in Ace,” I warn, slamming the car door and locking it. Tag places his hand on the window. He won’t take her back by force. The consequences for him would be too much.

“It hurts, doesn’t it?” Tag sighs. “Love?”

“Not now, Tag. Call your brother-in-law and find out what the fuck he’s doing.”

“Your father used to tell us when we were growing up that love would ruin us. It would blind us and cause us to make stupid choices. He was right. I’ve not seen straight since I met Lucy. You want Hulk? I’ll get him for you. But if you hurt a hair on her head, you’ll have to put me in the ground next to Hulk because I’ll do anything for that woman, and that includes killing everyone who gets between us.” His eyes fix on mine, and I see the promise there.

I smirk. “Get Piper back.”

“You sure you wanna take Lucy?” he asks as she begins slamming her hands against the window. “She’s gonna cause you a headache.”

“A headache, I can handle. Missing a wife, I cannot.”

I drive back towards home, leaving Michael with Tag. Lucy glares hard out the window. “Are you plotting my death?” I ask.

“I’ve been plotting that since you lied to me,” she mutters, and I grin. “Piper probably needed some space. You really don’t need to go to such drastic measures to get her attention.”

“If she needed space, I’d have given her that. But she’s with Hulk, the man who ripped me off.”

She turns to me. “He did what?”

“He’s been skimming drugs from me.”

“Why would he do that? He doesn’t use drugs.”

I glance at her. “Because he’s an idiot. Men who cross me end up dead. I gave him the benefit of the doubt because of Tag, because of you . . .” I grip the steering wheel harder. “And now, he’s with my wife.”

“Your wife?” she repeats.

I smirk. “She forgot to tell you that part, huh?”

“Piper agreed to marry you?” She sounds shocked.
