It's been a few hours of good food, company, and conversation. Looking around the table are my mother, Tina, Lisa, Oliver, and Angus. It's nice not worrying about clan problems for a few hours.

"My turn," Tina says, taking Niko.

"You are going to spoil him," Ava tells her.

"It's my job as an auntie," Tina says laughing.

"I'll take Aisling then." My mother says.

"I guess I'll help clear the table," Lisa adds with a smile.

"You guys relax. I got this," Ava says. I look around the table. I'm happy.

"Hey," Oliver says, walking over. "Care for a drink?" He adds.

"Why not."

We leave Angus at the mercy of Lisa. He has taken to her. In the living room, I walk over to the bar and pour two drinks. I give a glass to Oliver as we sit. We are quiet at first. Then he speaks after a few minutes.

"You look happy."

"I am. I never imagined having a family."

"Why not? Despite all your flaws," he mocks, "you are a good man."

"With the life we live, it didn't seem possible."

"You got lucky with Ava. Don't let her go. She is good for you." I look at him curiously.

"I think you had too much to drink," I chuckle.

"Not at all. These last two years have been nothing but tragedies. It's nice to have something good for a change." I understand what he is saying. But I know the reality, this can end without notice in a blink of an eye.

"Oliver, I want you to put together a contingency plan in the event something happens to me."

"What?"

"If I were to die, I want to make sure there is a plan in place for Ava and the kids."

"Do you know something I don't?” He sits straighter as he sets his glass down.

"About a month ago, I ran into Cillian as I came out of Manarch Industries. Nothing happened since the man is a coward, but it could have played out differently." I decide not to tell him about the sniper since it won't make a difference at this point.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I don't have to tell you everything," I say firmer than I meant. He shakes his head in disapproval.

"What do you have in mind?"

"Ava and the kids are financially set with my will. But I want you to find a place outside of this state where she can go with new identities for all three. Along with security in place that would leave with her at a moment's notice. Most importantly, I don't want anyone to know." I drain my drink.

"I didn't know you had a will."

"It's in the box at Gotham."

"I can arrange everything."

"They are what is most important in my life. Regardless of how much we argue or disagree, you are the only person I truly and fully trust."
