"What do you know?" I ask again. I walk to the bar for a drink.

"Ava is missing and you want a fucking drink?" I ignore him and pour. "Great. Are you going to stop caring now? She is fucking missing." I pour two fingers and drink it like a shot. I pour again. "Oliver!" He yells.

"What do you want me to say? I just got here. Give me a second." I finish the second drink. Before I realize, Viktor punches me.

"Do you know who took her? Is that what you are hiding? Is that why you wouldn't answer my calls?"

"You aren't the only one dealing with shit." He swings but I weave. He tries again but I connect first.

"Enough," Angus yells. "We have to focus," he says. I wipe my nose where I feel a few drops of blood. "This isn't the time to be a dobber. Focus."

"I will once he talks. Where have you been?" Viktor asks.

"Seeing our mother."

"So you couldn't answer the phone when I called because you were with our mother? What could have been so important that you ignored my calls?"

"Diana Byrne."

"Who the fuck is Diana Byrne?"

"Ava's mother."

"I don't understand," he says. I walk back to the bar and pour two drinks. I walk over to him. "What?"

"She is my biological mother." He takes the drink and I drain mine.

"Fuck," he says. "Who told you?" Viktor asks.

"Diana herself. She has graced us with her presence," I can’t help but laugh as I say the words.

"What is so funny?" Viktor asks.

"She returns claiming to be Ava's mother and Ava goes missing. You do the math." I walk over to the couch and sit. I have a feeling shit just got worse.
