“Why would I want to sleep with other people when I can have the two of you in my bed every single night,” I say while grinning down at him. He rolls us over so he’s on top.

“You don’t know what you’re saying, Rosalie.” His voice is serious.

“My destiny was always to be married off to someone, not of my choosing. Someone who was for the greater good of my country or an alliance. Lucky for me, I found you two.”

“Doesn’t mean you can’t still have your happily ever after,” he adds.

“You don’t think me being with the two of you is my happily ever after?” I question him.

“It’s not traditional, that’s for sure.”

“Damn right it’s not. Traditional? That’s not me. That’s not you. And it sure as hell isn’t that fine man in the shower.” I grin looking up at Greyson.

“I promise you, Auggie and I will never let you regret your decision to choose us,” he tells me before his lips crash down on mine again.

AUGUSTINE

“Morning,” I greet my parents. There’s a pep to my step this morning as I walk into the breakfast room where Rosalie and my family will be having our first official breakfast together. After a fantastic start to the morning, I’m feeling great.

Rosalie went to catch up with her sister beforehand and will be meeting us here at any moment.

“Did Rosalie have fun last night?” my father asks as I take my seat beside him. Greyson is down the other end of the table next to his father.

“Yes. She was delighted to meet you both. It ended up being a great evening,” I tell them honestly.

“She’s a wonderful girl.” My mother smiles at me.

I think Rosalie has the queen’s approval.

“Greyson … what do you think of Auggie’s bride-to-be?” my mother asks.

My mother’s question has my father’s attention, his blue eyes narrow in on Greyson, waiting to pick apart anything that he might say that leads him to believe we are still fucking each other.

“She seems like a great fit for Auggie, Your Highness.” Greyson gives my mother his megawatt smile.

“And what about you?” my father questions further.

Greyson’s father chokes on his water at the end of the table.

“Is she a good fit for you, too?” he pushes.

“Father …”

What the hell is he getting at?

“I’ve been told that the three of you spent the night together again.” My father’s ice-blue eyes are filled with rage as he stares down the table at Greyson, who looks like a deer caught in headlights.

I’m furious.

“Rosalie and her sister will be walking into this breakfast room at any moment. And I think she will be highly embarrassed to hear the court’s rumor mill is already on fire this morning. What happens in my bedroom is no one’s damn business,” my voice booms, silencing the room.

The door opens, and the staff brings in trays of breakfast food, laying the platters down on the table’s center.

Not long after, Rosalie and Skylar enter the room.

“We are so sorry we’re late. We took a wrong turn somewhere and ended up who knows where.” Rosalie smiles.
