“Oh no, why?”

“He thinks Augustine and I should spend the time getting to know each other more. That he’s too distracting.” Wiping my hand across my runny nose, I sniff.

“I think we need Magnolia for this conversation.” She says, reaching out and grabbing her phone to call our oldest sister.

“Hey,” she answers, sitting in what looks like the garden.

“Rosie needs big sister consultation,” Skylar explains to her.

Magnolia sits up straight and her brows pull together. “Is everything okay?”

I nod, trying to contain my sniffle. “The king sent Greyson away.”

“Are you surprised?” Magnolia asks.

I don’t answer.

“Has he been sent away for good?” she asks.

I shake my head. “No, just until the wedding. He wants Augustine and I to spend time together,” I explain to her.

“It hasn’t been long.”

I look over at Skylar and give her a look. Magnolia was not the right person to have called regarding this.

“You haven’t been here, you don’t understand.”

“Rosie, it’s only for four weeks. You and the prince are about to embark on a full-blown PR tour. You may not have had the time to spend with Greyson anyway. Plus, the media attention is going to be intense. And you know you can’t let something like this get out into the public. It would destroy you. It would destroy Augustine. The country would lose faith in its rulers. Plus, not to mention the ammunition something like this would give Valerius.”

I get what Magnolia is saying.

“You can’t have developed strong feelings for Greyson in such a small amount of time,” Magnolia adds.

“Developed feelings for his dick,” Skylar teases.

“Do not confuse lust with love, Rosie,” Magnolia warns.

“Is that what you did with Dante?” Skylar asks, changing the subject savagely.

Magnolia glares at her through the screen, mouth open in surprise. “This isn’t about me, Sky,” she says with gritted teeth. “It’s only for a couple of weeks, Rose. It’s not the end of the world.”

“I understand,” I grumble.

“I’m not trying to be a bitch here, Rose. What you have done for our family by saying yes to the prince’s proposal. Don’t lose sight of why you are there.”

“Have you heard from Anthony,” I ask, changing the subject.

Magnolia shakes her head. “What about the prince’s lawyer?”

“Nothing yet. I’m sure it’s not easy reading through all those documents.”

“Someone will find something, I believe there is a loophole tucked away in all that jargon that is going to save us.”

It’s good to see Magnolia still has the fire inside her after all this time being around Dante again.

“And you’re okay?” I ask her.

“Fine. I can handle Dante,” she reassures us.
