“It’s late, we should get going,” Dante says, clearing his throat.

Magnolia shoots daggers at him.

“When will I see her again?” I ask Dante.

“I’m not holding her captive. You can see her when you need to,” Dante answers.

“Sure as hell feels like you are,” Skylar grumbles.

“Now that Rosalie is getting married, there will be things leading up to the wedding. Bridal dress fittings. Engagement parties. I wouldn’t miss it for the world,” she says, giving me a wink.

“I can’t imagine you would want to keep Magnolia away from Rosalie’s big day, when her sisters are the only family she has left,” the prince adds as he glares at Dante.

Dante’s hand clenches and unclenches beside him as if he is holding himself back from hitting the prince as he glares daggers before turning his back on him and walks over to where Enzo is and talks to him.

The prince looks over at me and gives me a wide smile. My heart flutters at him standing up for my sisters and me.

Henrietta comes over and gives Magnolia a hug, breaking the tension.

“It’s time to go, Magnolia,” Dante states before turning on his heel and exiting the glasshouse.

Magnolia sighs and squares her shoulders back before Enzo walks over and hands Magnolia her discarded shoe that she threw at Dante. She snatches it from his hand, he holds out his arm for Magnolia to lean on so that she can put her heel back on. Her hands wrap around Enzo’s muscled biceps, and she gives it the lightest of squeezes. I look over at Skylar who has her brows raised at me as if to say, ‘see, told you so’. That’s a complication Magnolia doesn’t need in her life.

“You ready?” Enzo asks Magnolia once she has her shoes on, she ignores him and walks out of the glasshouse and into the night.

“This has been quite the night.” Henrietta sighs, looking around at all of us in the glasshouse.

“We will meet you outside,” the prince says as he and Greyson leave the room.

“You two girls must go. You can’t keep the prince waiting any longer,” Henrietta says.

“You’re coming too, aren’t you?” I ask her.

She shakes her head. “Sorry, poppet, I need to stay here and keep an eye on this place. The prince is a fine man, Rosie, he will look after you both. Everything is going to work out, I can feel it in my bones,” she says.

“Why can’t you come?” Skylar asks.

“There’s work to be done here, and you need someone to make sure the sharks don’t circle.”

She’s right. I can’t imagine Valerius is going to like the fact that the prince is coming in to save the day, when he thought he would be.

Skylar and I hug Henny tightly before she disappears out of the glasshouse and heads back toward the destroyed castle.

“Then there were two,” Skylar jokes. “You ready to start a new life?”

“Do I have a choice?”

Skylar frowns. “You do have a choice, Rose, unfortunately the alternatives are worse than marrying a hot prince, who seems to have your best interest at heart. Could be worse.”

She’s right.

“You could be going home with Dante,” she says, chuckling as we walk out of the glasshouse, where the prince and Greyson are waiting for us.

“Please tell me there are hot, single guys at the palace, otherwise I’m not going,” my sister asks them.

“I’m sure we can introduce you to some suitable bachelors, Skylar,” the prince tells her with a smile on his face.

“Oh, I don’t want suitable. Show me the ones that are going to—”
