Not the prince, his guard. I try and shake the images of a naked Greyson from my mind but it’s hard to when he looks like that.

“The prince said you have your own room and everything you need is in there,” I tell her.

Skylar squeals with delight. As we rush out of my bedroom and into the hallway, we see the living room which has been set up for lunch, the smells of the food making my stomach growl. Then across the hall from that is another door, that must be it. We scurry across the parquet floors, and I turn the knob on the door and open it.

Oh wow.

“Oh my god, Rosie. This is gorgeous.” It’s an exact replica of my room, but instead of whites and neutrals, hers is whites and blues. “I love it. I love it. I love it,” Skylar sings as she skips around the bedroom with a smile on her face.

Then I notice the closet and it is as full of clothes as mine.

“No fucking way,” Skylar squeals as she runs her hands along the exquisite fabric. “And they are in my size. And I love everything that is here. How the hell?” she says, shaking her head.

“Like you said, magical wizards.” I chuckle.

“I’m in love with these shoes, look at them.” She holds up a pair of glittery heels and hugs them to her chest.

“You need to get ready quickly. You can fawn over your closet tonight. The prince is putting lunch on for us.”

Skylar nods and I leave her to it as I rush back down the hall and into my room. I jump in the shower quickly before deciding on a cute pink summer dress and nude heels. From the jewelry in the closet, I pick out a pair of silver hoops, then throw my hair up into a messy bun. I don’t have time to wash and style it. The bathroom has been fitted with an entire makeup counter with the right shades for me. I put a little bit of makeup on and a nude pink lipstick. I look at myself in the mirror, I don’t scrub up too badly.

My phone buzzes, and I quickly grab it and see a message from Magnolia. Anxiety rushes over me as I quickly swipe open my phone.

Magnolia: Don’t worry about me. I’m fine here. The boys have left me alone today, so I’m spending it in bed with a book. Think I deserve that. I’ll call you tonight.

Oh, thank goodness, Magnolia doesn’t sound too bad. That’s good, and I can’t wait to speak to her tonight.

We have so much to discuss.

AUGUSTINE

After leaving the girls to their lunch, I head to my office to catch up on my work. I’ve already spoken to my father this morning and arranged for some time off before subjecting Rosalie to him. He was none too pleased about it, but he gave me twenty-four hours’ grace before demanding to see her.

This morning’s newspapers are scattered on my desk, all talking about the Summer Ball and who I chose as my wife. I scan the stories that report I have chosen one of the Moore Princesses as my wife, then it goes on about her father’s reputation and about the company he kept. They mention Rosalie disappearing during her announcement and the reason being half their castle was destroyed overnight by a fire. Thankfully, the media was gracious in their report of her leaving, that they understood her need to check in on her family and home. Some reporters spoke about how I was obviously lured in by her looks. She’s stunning, but that isn’t at all the reason why she lured me in. It was the fact that she wanted Greyson that pushed me over the edge.

I loved seeing her flush with desire earlier when Greyson put on a performance for her in my bedroom. I don’t think her eyes could have gotten any bigger or her nipples any harder in that outfit. I swear she was trying to kill me when she strolled into my bedroom dressed like sin.

A knock at the door pulls me from my lust-filled thoughts. Must be Greyson. I asked him to bring the girls into my office once they’d finished lunch.

“Come in,” I call out.

The door opens and Greyson’s smiling face greets me. Then Rosalie and Skylar behind him.

“Ladies, please take a seat,” I say, offering the two black armchairs stationed in front of my desk.

The girls both give me warm smiles as they take a seat.

“Thank you, for visiting me. I trust lunch was to your liking?”

“It was amazing. Thank you,” Rosalie says.

“And you both slept well?” I ask.

“That bed was the most amazing thing I’ve ever slept on,” Skylar gushes. “I cannot thank you enough for the beautiful room filled with the most exquisite clothes. No one has ever spoilt me, or us like that before.”

It hurts my heart hearing Skylar say those things; that no one has ever treated them kindly. It wasn’t anything, yet to them it feels like everything.
