“It can be as complicated as you want it to be, Greyson. My sister is a good person, and I can tell you are also. Be honest with your feelings with her and the prince, no one can fault you for being honest with what you want and with what you are comfortable with,” she explains.

“That’s the thing, Sky, if I’m being honest, I don’t know if it matters how comfortable I am with Auggie and Rosalie being together. I have no choice.”

“Seems like you and I are very similar,” Skylar says, giving me a small smile.

“Guess we are.”

“Go talk to them. You may be worrying about things when you don’t need to.”

“You’re right, thanks, Sky,” I tell her as she turns the doorhandle to her room. “Let me know if you need anything.”

“I will. Now go, sort it out,” she tells me, giving me a small wave and closing the door behind her.

I knock on Auggie’s office door.

“Come in,” he calls out.

Pushing open the door, I see him alone in his office reading over paperwork. “Oh, you’re alone.”

Auggie’s eyes narrow on me. “I am, who else were you expecting?”

I raise a brow at his tone. “Thought you and Rosalie might be consummating your engagement,” I add, crossing my arms in front of me, sassing him back.

“Can’t work out if you are happy or unhappy about that?” he questions me.

“Neither can I.”

Auggie tilts his head as he stares at me, surprised by my answer. “Take a seat, Grey, seems like we need to have a discussion about Rosalie.”

Letting out a huff, I take a seat in front of his desk.

Auggie’s eyes narrow on me before he stands and walks over to his bar where he pulls out two crystal tumblers and pours his favorite whiskey into them. He walks back over and hands a glass to me before he takes a seat on the edge of his desk in front of me. He takes a sip of his whiskey, and I watch as his tongue comes out and swipes the amber liquid from his lips.

“I’ve organized for a dinner between the three of us tonight in the glasshouse in the garden.”

Oh.

“The three of us need to be on the same page if this is going to work between us all,” he explains.

“And exactly what is that?” I ask, taking my first sip of the whiskey, and enjoying the smooth burn that follows.

“I’m hoping that it is you and I continuing together while Rosalie and I are together for the public,” Auggie explains.

“Does that mean you’re going to fuck her?”

“Of course, how else will I have an heir?” he asks.

My eyes narrow on him, and I take another sip of my whiskey. “Have you touched her since last night?” I ask.

Auggie takes a sip from his tumbler before answering. He doesn’t even have to say anything for me to know something did happen. Splinters of jealousy hit my skin but also a sense of missing out weaves its way around me.

“Yes.”

Oh.

Jealousy nibbles at my core. “What did you do?”
