“Nothing is going to happen between the three of us tonight,” I tell her, shaking my head. “And the right man will come along when it’s the right time, Sky.”

My sister lets out a huff. “Greyson’s going to help me find the right man. Thought seeing as he has seen more dick than I have he would know who in the palace would be the best person to pop my cherry,” she explains nonchalantly.

“He’s going to do what?”

“Hey, don’t you turn into a prude now you have a ring on your finger.” Skylar points her finger at me.

“I don’t want you rushing into anything.”

“Rose, I love you, but shut up.”

Ouch.

“This is my journey. And I’m going to do it my way. I need your support not judgment, okay?” Skylar asks me.

She’s right. Both Magnolia and I didn’t listen to the rules, and we made her believe we had, and because of that, we may have stopped her from experience things she wanted to. And I understand that Valerius is going to weaponize Skylar’s virginity for himself, so her getting rid of it so it doesn’t feel like a noose around her neck, I get it. I can still worry about my sister though.

“Promise I won’t say anymore on the subject. This is your life and I want you to be happy,” I tell her.

“I will be. Now go get ready and trust me the boys are going to love the dress,” she says before shooing me into the change room.

A little while later I walk out and do a twirl for her.

“Oh my gosh, Rose. You look incredible.” She gasps.

I feel incredible in the gorgeous silky, satin evening dress, that slides over my lithe body. It dips low enough that my small boobs look great, there’s a high slit up the side of the dress and the back is completely bare as it grazes the top of my ass. Skylar chose glittery red heels and raided the jewelry box and found a set of ruby earrings, necklace, and matching bracelet. My chestnut hair has been set in elegant waves by my own hairdresser and she pinned one side up with a diamond clip.

“How do you feel? Still nervous?”

“I don’t recognize myself in the mirror. This is really me?” I ask, twirling again as I stare at the unfamiliar face in the mirror.

“This is what real princesses are supposed to look like. Let me take a photo so I can send it to Maggie,” she says. I pose for a couple of photos for her. “Now, go, have fun. If things happen between the three of you, I want all the details.”

“Sky,” I squeal.

“Prude. I’ll never understand how you aren’t the one that’s the virgin.” My sister jokes as she shakes her head and we walk out of my bedroom, where Greyson is waiting for me.

“Oh, wow,” he says as I step out into the hallway.

He looks so handsome himself, dressed in a navy suit, with a white shirt, no tie. His light brown hair is messily styled, and he still hasn’t shaved.

“Have fun you two.” Skylar waves as she walks off down the corridor toward her room.

“Hi,” I greet Greyson nervously.

“Auggie is going to lose his mind when he sees you,” Greyson says as those green eyes run down me, taking me in.

“What about you?”

Greyson’s head whips up quickly at my forward question. “I think Auggie made the right decision with you.”

A frown forms on my face, that wasn’t the answer I was hoping for.

“Shall we go?” he asks, holding out an arm for me.

I take it and we head off in silence. We walk along the empty palace corridors for a long time before either one of us speaks again.

“Greyson, wait,” I ask, halting our walk. “I want to talk to you before we meet up with the prince.”
