Naked, he sank into bed, snaking his way under the covers, and when he pulled his pillow out of Jenna’s arms, she rolled into him, head on his shoulder, arm around his middle, like she had every morning of her life.

One arm under her, the other hand free to roam, Talon spent some time just looking at her, memorizing the line of her cheek, the sweep of her lashes.

Then he trailed his fingers from her neck to her chest, swiped his thumb across her nipple and felt the bud go tight under his hand.

He grinned, and then he set about waking up his girl.

Jenna

At the first lick, I woke up. At the third, I moaned. And by the fifth, I had my hips pressed to his mouth and my hand in his hair.

Then he sucked, and I was done.

Talon raised up, suited his cock with a condom, swept an arm under my shoulders and drove inside.

“Good morning,” I breathed.

“Fuck, yeah, it is,” he growled back, eyes to mine, hips surging deep.

I raised my knees higher against his ribs, and he planted a hand in the bed, hooked an arm under one knee, and lifted me even more.

At that, he went from deep todeep, and I felt myself getting close again.

“Gonna come again, baby,” I moaned.

“Gonna come breathin’ me,” he said, and I didn’t know what that meant until he went to his knees, taking me with him, holding my legs wide, and put my back against the headboard.

The motion alone triggered the first spark of my orgasm.

“Can’t help you like this,” I said, wrapping my arms around his shoulders.

“Don’t need to. Just hold on,” he said, eyes to mine, lips a breath away. Then, “Mouth,” he commanded.

And his kiss sent me flying.

Gate

Not having slept for shit the night before, Gate scowled into his second cup of coffee and waited for some level of a caffeine rush to hit.

People said it was good to be king, but Gate thought that was bullshit. It was good when times were peaceful and the club was making bank, but it was hell when death and disaster took turns pounding down the front door.

And that’s what this train wreck with the hookers and Edward had turned out to be.

The report Ryder brought back about Moose and his movements coupled with what Stash and Rooster had uncovered made Gate nervous as hell. He just couldn’t let his brothers know that.

He took in the great room, Linda serving up breakfast like she did every morning. Brick staring into his first cup like it held all the answers to the universe. Nine and Hatchet plowing through eggs and bacon. Deuce ready to roll over whatever the day brought his way. Tank trying to sweet talk Linda into baking some kind of weird cinnamon pastry he liked. Lucky scrolling through social media while Ink and Ruger scarfed down breakfast before they went to work doing all the bullshit prospects do.

Front doors opened, and Ryder walked in, already out and back on his morning’s first business, which was part of the reason Gate sat where he did feeling the way he did.

Deuce made Gate’s table and stopped, “Heading out. Tex relieved Nine last night, so he’s got Cassie this morning. I’m swapping out after lunch.”

Gate nodded. “Tell him to check in with me before he heads anywhere else. Nine rolled in a while ago. Told him to catch some sleep before he goes back out to pull recon on Edward. But I’m not letting him go without someone watching his back.”

Deuce hit Gate with a chin lift, “You got it.”
