“Why do you assume it’s us?” Fallon asks, feigning innocence. “You’ve also got Ryan, Colt and Maddox sitting here.”

“Don’t you dare drag us into your matchmaking schemes. We’re completely innocent,” Colt proclaims with a lopsided grin.

“One-hundred,” Kane adds, giving my hand a squeeze.

“Matchmaking?” Dash echoes. He says the word like it’s acid on his tongue. The horrified look on his face almost makes me feel bad.

Almost.

“So like Eden said,” I continue, meeting Dash’s unenthusiastic gaze, “we’ve just been concerned that you work way too hard and don’t get out enough.”

“I get out plenty,” Dash grits between clenched teeth.

“Not enough, Slater,” Fallon reprimands him. “So we had no choice but to step in.”

She and Dash served in Delta Force together and have known each other the longest. I know they have a good relationship, so she can get away with being a little more bossy to him than Eden or I. Not that it deters us too much. But Dash and Fallon have a deep, mutual respect after serving together and they know each other on a level that Eden and I don’t.

“Pierce,” Dash says in a low, deep warning voice.

“So listen up,” she continues. “We took it upon ourselves to put you up on a dating site.”

Dash’s long-suffering sigh fills the air and Kane covers his mouth with a hand, shoulders shaking with silent laughter.

“Behave,” I whisper and squeeze his hand.

“You’re fired,” Dash announces flatly. “All three of you.”

“Are you sure about that?” Fallon asks. “Because you have over 200 women who are dying to meet you.”

His teal eyes widen. “What?”

“What?” Kane, Ryan and Colt all exclaim at once.

I burst into giggles. “That’s right. Women are tripping over themselves to get a date with Dash.”

“You’re a hot commodity, Boss Man,” Eden says.

Dash is momentarily speechless.

“What the hell did you write in his bio?” Kane asks. “That he’s a dying billionaire?”

Dash lifts his middle finger and flips Kane off.

“We didn’t even say he’s former military,” Fallon says. “Just that he owns a security company and is looking for someone special. And, of course, we put his picture up.”

“What picture?” he asks warily.

“Oh, just one I snapped of you in the kitchen,” Fallon says vaguely. She turns the laptop around to show Dash his profile pic and bio.

Dash walks over to get a closer look. “What the hell, Pierce? Why do I have a donut in my hand?”

We all burst out laughing.

“We thought it made you look more approachable,” Eden comments. “And apparently the women like it.”

“Here’s the deal,” Fallon says. “We found you a bunch of women who want to go on a date with you. All you have to do is scroll through their profiles and pick your top five. Then the girls and I will decide who we think you should pick.”

“I don’t have time for that,” he says dismissively.
