The security guard crumpled to the floor.

Tran walked into the room. “It looks like I came just in time. Have you found the tapes?”

“No.” I’ve been killing these damn guards. “I’m thinking that the tape might be in the garage or the attic. His security team escorted me while I was in the garage. They were acting suspect.”

He nodded. “We’ll search there if we can’t find them in the house.”

“Yes, I searched the office and this room. There were men in the master bedroom earlier so I searched here first.” I slid my hand in my pants and grabbed the syringe.

Tran nodded. “Let’s go. I killed six men downstairs. We should have enough time to find the tapes.” He opened the door.

I jabbed the needle into his neck and covered his mouth. His eyes fluttered close and his body went limp. After dragging him into the bathroom, I took his guns.

A familiar feminine scent drifted to my nose. I followed it like a bloodhound. Grabbing her around the waist, I covered her mouth with my hand and pressed her against the wall. Her body tensed until she saw my face. Her body recognized its master.

Hello beautiful.

ANYA

PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC

My hands trembled, but I managed to dial Ben Powers.

“Ben, it's Anya, listen closely. The Dragons have sent Cian on a mission. Bring every man you’ve got and come to Prague. I'm not out of danger, but I'll call you as soon as I can.”

“Wait, hold on.”

There was talking in the background then the line went silent. Ben wasn’t making any sounds. Wherever he was, he was moving to a quieter place. I didn’t hear a door shut so he was still inside.

What? Hold on?

“Hello.”

“I just told you to get to Prague. I don't have time for your bullshit. I must leave.” I looked around the corner. There wasn’t anyone in the stairwell although my instincts told me that they weren’t far away and that it wasn’t safe to move out of hiding. The last thing I needed was to get captured, making Cian their puppet for sure.

“Do you know who you're talking to?”

The voice was different. This wasn’t Ben. The only person he would give the phone to would have to be Liam O’Brien.

“Considering you don't sound like Ben; I can only assume that you're Liam O'Brien.”

“Yes. What have you done with my son?”

I rolled my eyes. “The Dragons sent him on a mission to get some tapes from Cun Pocoli’s home. Some of them are still here. I can't talk. Just bring an army to Prague. I'll call you when I can.”

“Since my son met you, he has become reckless. If there is one scratch on him when I get there, you and I will have words.”

I shrugged. “If you want to kill me, get in line. Bring Viktor Vinogradov with you.”

Click.

I took a deep breath and hung up on him. If I made it out of here alive, I would worry about Liam then. I had to move. I’d never met him but I knew that he hated my father. Hell, everyone hated him. Which was why, if Mila and I were captured, we would be used as pawns by everyone. People knew that it was only a matter of time before my father betrayed them.

Looking down at the phone, I sent Mikhail a text.

Where are you? I need a quick exit.
