Get your ass to the south side alley, now.

I pocketed my phone. I looked over the area and the Vietnamese we're still here. I wasn’t fooled into thinking they had left based on Cian’s promise. I needed to get out of here. After not hearing anyone, I rushed to the window and climbed out. Time wasn’t on my side, so I left it open and jumped down to catch the next window. I continued my grueling climb without looking down. I knew that if I made one wrong move, I would be dead. This wasn’t the easiest way to the rooftop but it was the only one available to me. There was a small chance that Le was already looking for me to control Cian.

I arrived on the roof.

After I located the southside alley, I made my way to the closest side of the building to climb down. There was no way to get there from the rooftop which had been my plan. I peeped over the side and saw dozens of men searching the area.

Mikhail wouldn’t leave Cian.

Unfortunately, Cian was gone and he was waiting for me. After rubbing my hand on my pants, I made my way over the ledge climbing down.

This time, I climbed quieter. I paid more attention to my surroundings because the men were everywhere. I couldn’t afford to get caught. By the time I reached the bottom, my hands were red, stinging, and cramping. Taking out my Glock, I ran behind a nearby car. When I was certain there were no men to see me, I ran toward the alley. It wasn't long before I arrived at the meeting area. I crept down the darkened, narrow space. The streetlights had shattered and I tried to step over the pieces of glass. There was a large brown colored dumpster against the wall of a building. It smelled like a dead body had been tossed in there. I passed it trying to make my way to the car. The car lights were off but I was certain Mikhail and his people were hiding inside of it waiting for me.

Just a few more steps and I’m there.

I saw a large green dumpster. Once I passed it, I heard small pebbles crushing against the ground behind me. The hair on my nape curled. I swung around and aimed the gun at someone.

His gun was also trained on me. “Don't move bitch. You have a date with a shipping container.”

Damn that. If my choices are a drug induced haze on my way to rape city or a bullet to the brain, I choose the gunshot all day every day.

My eyes widened and I tried to appear innocent. “Don't shoot.”

He smiled. “Drop your weapon.”

“Ok.” Instead of dropping the gun, I fired, unloading the clip in him.

Bang. Bang. Bang.

A bullet flew past me before I ducked. I hadn’t had a silencer and the men nearby started shouting. I ran toward the car.

Mikhail stepped out of the shadows. “Where the hell is Cian?”

“No time. I have his phone. Le sent him on a mission. We need to get out of here.” I ran past him to the car. As soon as I reached the doorknob of the backseat, Irma popped her head up, her gun aimed at my head. Her expression suggested that she was contemplating shooting me.

Mikhail pressed the button and the doors unlocked. “Why is he working with The Dragons? Normally, they would kill him on the spot.”

Buckling my seatbelt, I slid down in the seat. “He told him he would deliver you so that they could kill you.”

Mikhail narrowed his eyes. “He turned himself in to save you, didn’t he?”

“I shot a man to save him. Le heard the gunshot so Cian turned himself in. He told them that he killed the man so that I could remain hidden. I called Liam and told him to bring an army and Viktor.”

“Liam might not let you live for giving him orders.”

I shrugged. “Well, he already had plans for me. He hates my father and he hates me because I am his child.”

Irma snorted. “I want to kill you myself and it has nothing to do with that piece of shit that sired you. I was almost killed looking for you. The next time you want to run off on your own, you’ll really be on your own.”

“I didn’t run off, I was taken.”

“Bullshit. We know that you left voluntarily. Don't bother lying. The asshole we tortured informed us that you left on your own.”

Everyone glared at me. One wrong move, and I would get a bullet in the head.

“We’re headed to the safe house. Once we get settled, we can regroup and figure everything out,” said Mikhail.

I saw men patrolling the perimeter by the time we arrived at the safe house,
