The younger man avoided my gaze as he rushed out the restroom.

So, Calvin’s balls haven’t dropped yet. He’s fine with allowing another man to order him around like a weak bitch.

“Sam, do you want to go first. He doesn’t look gay,” he said.

Sam cracked his neck. “Brent, it doesn’t matter whether he’s gay or not. He’s fucking beautiful, do you see his skin? It’s not like we’re going to kill him, we just want a taste.”

I slipped on my brass knuckles while they debated who would rape me first. Grabbing my knife, I threw it at Brent. It hit him square in the gut. He collapsed to the floor screaming. Before Sam could breathe, I was on him. I punched him several times in the face, chest, and arms.

Wham. Wham. Wham.

Blood burst from several large cuts on his face. I bashed his head against the urinal until his body went limp. The rapist wasn’t dead but he was unconscious. I stalked over to him and took out my knife. I slammed my knee on his back keeping him immobile, jerked his head back, and slit his throat.

I opened the bathroom door. I thrust my knife into the back of the man’s head before he could run.

Exiting the window, I jumped into my car and headed home. After packing a bag of clothes and a bag of weapons I left. A sense of restlessness loomed over me, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that trouble was on the horizon. It didn’t matter, if someone came for my blood, I would leave a mound of bodies behind me.

I tossed a bag in the backseat, kept the weapons bag up front, and laid a gun in my lap. I hadn’t lied to Lilly because I was leaving Ireland, but I wasn’t rushing to New York. I had no intentions of going home to be under the overbearing scrutiny of my father.

It wasn’t long before I put my turbo engine to use, as I sped to the private airfield where our pilot, Tyler, should be waiting. I drove the car into the private garage and ran up the stairs.

Elijah Lawlor stepped inside with two pieces of luggage.

My best friend smiled. “I went to the pub, and there was quite a mess.”

I shrugged. “I must get away from here. I need a fresh scene and some peace.”

He sauntered near me. “Your dad sent some men to my house looking for you. He wants to spend some time with you before your trial.”

My lips thinned and I crossed my arms over my chest.

His lips curved. “I figured you would say that. Why don’t we go to Miami? It’s only a matter of time before your dad’s men catch up with us. I hope you can still fly because Tyler is with your dad’s men.”

Fuck that.

“Let’s go. I got on the plane and stowed my bags. I had two guns on my person and I figured it was enough for now.

The plane started to gain momentum as I headed toward the end of the tarmac.

“Elijah where do you want to go?”

He leaned back. “How do you feel about Miami? My friend Justin needs someone to house sit for a few days. I told him that I would check my plans and get back with him. If you want to go somewhere else, then I’m down.”

The beach could provide some solace. There was something therapeutic about tossing one’s cares out on the water.

“Miami beach sounds good for now.”

My eyes narrowed as four Mercedes Benz pulled up. I recognized the men as they jumped out and tried to flag me down. Ignoring their shouts, I pulled back on the wheel, the plane’s wheels left the ground, and we soared toward the sky.

He winced. “I hope your dad doesn’t feed me my own balls before putting a bullet in my brain. He knows that I’m with you and he will….”

“I won’t allow him to kill you. Relax, I’ll call him later when we get settled.”

“Cian no one allows Liam O’Brien to do anything. If he wants my head on a spike; that’s where it will be. We’ve been best friends since the sandbox, and whenever something catastrophic happens in our lives, we’ve been there for each other. That will never change,” said Elijah.

Miami Beach was packed. The people seemed materialistic, money hungry and starved for attention. The house we were staying in was plush and extravagant. The man’s father was a CEO of a powerful hedge fund and he had tons of money according to Elijah. Despite beautiful women, great drinks and vibrant partying scene, the sense of unease that flowed through me couldn’t be ignored. The beach hadn’t provided the solace I thought it would. However, swimming all day had released some pent-up aggression.
